It's the brake light behind the rear window.

Wingless trunk.
what's the restrictor pill for? are you overboosting?

was your trunk swapped before, or do you have the standard wing with an incorporated light?

Under boosting. The pill is supposed to be in there so the EBS can read the pressure properly.

I bought the car with a wingless trunk.

On a car that old, the ebcs is dead. Restrictor pill won't solve the issue unfortunately. I've tuned plenty of older cars where I can't break 14 psi with maxed out waste gate cycles.

Best option is to pick up a manual boost controller or an aftermarket ebcs like the grimmspeed.

usually I agree with mark but... mbc on an 02-03 is a bad idea. they don't like partial throttle/full boost.
Cobb has a new 3 port out that supposedly doesn't chatter as much as the grim.
Cory, your boost issue is a mechanical problem- nothing a tune will sort out.

MBC is fine on 02/03 as the lack of closed loop to open loop delay won't cause a lean condition/high egts. This is what the 04+ cars are known for.

It is a matter of personal taste though. A lot of people don't like full boost at 40% throttle, which the mbc will cause.

I recommend an aftermarket electronic unit. Any brand should work fine. Just keep in mind that they REQUIRE a tune.

The last owner of the car told me the turbo is shot but I took the TMIC and DP off and checked for shaft play and made sure the the turbine spun freely. It was perfect. Is there anything else I can check to see if the turbo has gone bad or not?
I have an AEM TruBoost (EBC).
Any recommendations for getting a tune? Don't feel like spending $400 on one -_-

You need to send that car to a competent tuner for an inspection...

Are there any competent tuners that go to the meets that will cut a deal

If not, any suggestions on professional tuners that either have decent prices or have 2nd time deals?

You should start a new tread looking for a tuner!

Not always true. There's plenty of sub par places out their that charge a premium for tuning.

I recommend Brentuning and Matt down at wicked innovation as I have personally seen how solid their maps are. I'm sure other places are just as competent, but I have no experience with them so I can't comment.

Depends on the intake. Some work fine with stock fuel trims, others not so much.

Is the tru boost already installed? PM me details of the car, like all your mods/ mileage. I'll help you out. I love working with older cars that need a little tlc.
