I'd really hate to see FI go. They really turned around the crap that had become of Jordan.

rumormill: neither Sutil nor di Resta will drive for Force India
reason: not enough money from their sponsors new pay drivers would be: Luiz Razia and Bruno Senna, each of them (their sponsors) would pay 12.000.000 dollarbucks |

Petrov and his freshly laundered bags o money
Marussia might be a good car this year, with KERS and a hand from Mclaren technology center. field will be bunched up nice and tight due to lack of rule changes. i hope caterham got their **** together this year. they keep underwhelming and last place is there for the taking. |

That would really be a bombshell if DIR lost his seat, and would confirm any financial problems at FI for sure. Didn't think silly season would be into February... |

After Marussia lost 10th place in the standings at the very last race, their financial situation started looking much more bleak. I think they were counting on having that money (rumoured to be as much as $35M) for operating expenses this year.
Timo's not a paying driver, right? No doubt they needed his experience to help develop the car, but I think their finances have taken a turn for the worse, and they basically told him, "We can't pay you." Their only option at this point is to find another paying driver and limit development this season. Operating expenses should be higher this year with the addition of KERS. I fear they may be headed down the same road as HRT... |

It's official: I will be at the 2013 Canadian Grand Prix! I'm going with the silver trio package, so I'll be at the hairpin Friday and Saturday and at Turn 2 on Sunday!
I'll be in uncovered grandstands, so I hope it doesn't rain... |

Not too bad, actually. After comparing costs for going to Spain or Belgium, Canada was pretty competitive. I lucked out and found a hotel with an 8+/10 rating that's about 30% cheaper than the rest of the comparable hotels during the weekend, but still includes free breaksfast and free internets (so I can spam all of you with pics, of course). Total cost for hotel ($900 for 4 nights), flight from the UK ($730), and race tickets (~$500) worked out to be about as expensive as the Spanish Grand Prix, but usually much more exciting.

We should definitely meet up and grab a beer. I would have gone with the gold package as well, but it's now sold out, and I don't want to be shooting through a fence on Sunday. I also just bought my ticket for Britain! It's the cheapest race for me to attend because it's about 2 hours by car from my house (so no hotel or excessive travel costs). I'll be parked at Club... |

Reminder: Lotus launching their car online tomorrow.
And for those of you who torrent, the 2012 Official Formula 1 Season Review is now available on private (and maybe some public) trackers. I ordered it on Amazon, but almost two weeks later it still had not shipped. |
