You can buy an HKS tube that connects to it I believe, but most people leave it open

does it really make any performance difference with the jug removed or is it just to hear the turbo a bit more?

So you bought a access port , then paid for a pro tune? How much did it all run you?

Accessport sells for 650$... can be found for less...
Brentuning etune is 150$

So he paid between 700-800$ in total plus any shipping costs...
Well worth it. And the total is less than a catback exhaust that would gain you little power.

Do you have any dyno numbers of someone with a stock exhaust and either the mishimoto or ETS intakes after a tune? Thanks.

At this time we have not had a local bring us in one setup like that.

Hey guys how are you? currently im trying to decide if i should make the trip up there lol. ( im in Long Island NY) . Do you guys tune on Saturdays ? Also how much does it cost? Time frame ? I'm waiting on my downpipe to come in. Currently i have mishi intake, perrin catback exhaust , cobb ap , and mishi dp on order.. idk if it's worth waiting for a EWG.. ( i dont even know if any companies are working on it) . Do you guys do retunes at a discounted part or its same as first time ?

From now till December 31st we are running a sale on all 15 WRX dyno tunes, link below.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2662561

Depending on what the car needs to be retuned for we will help a returning customer out.

As for a EWG, I personally haven't heard of any companies working on one for this platform yet.

We are normally closed on Saturdays, leaving those reserved for events we hold from time to time. Our hours are 10am-6pm Monday through Friday.

Just playing around, a 70+ mile trip home on Thursday going 75-78mph on the highway, and +5mph on other roads, I pulled 34mpg (MFD, so maybe -2mpg) without even trying.

I still got to grab another set of logs to send but I'd probably say this tuned is close to finished. I honestly can't tell what I am putting to the wheels by feeling so I will not comment in regards to what I am putting down. I ran logs through virtual dyno but I don't know if that's even worth looking at. The turn around time is usually a next business day when sending logs which isn't bad at all. I really wish I could meet and do this personally if they weren't so damn far away!

Had to go grab a shot this weekend. My sexy little Stage I Bren Tuned beast

We now have several mapping solutions available for those who are running ACN91 and are experiencing lots of knock correction on the OTS Cobb maps.

I can vouch for Bren on this, he tuned my car that was experiencing knock on the ots map using 91ACN and my knock is now gone. Car runs beautifully like it should have from the factory. Thanks BrenTuning!

Hi, first post here. After reading many threads and posts lately and seeing the happy customers, I am currently getting the BrenTuning treatment. I am on crappy CA 91 gas and it is running like a dream now. I just did my 3rd set of logs and depending on how he likes em, might be dialed in. I had constant knock correction and fine knock learning events on the ots 91 map and my DAM was always lowering just driving normal to work and back. I am now getting 0 knock correction or fine knock learning and DAM is solid at 1. My car is happy now and so am I. The car pulls through the power band strong and smooth. Man this is how it should drive!

Thanks BrenTuning!

That's odd. I just got a tuner on the car, running Cobb OTS v114 tunes. I logged Stg 0, 93, and 93 HWG. As for timing, Stg 0 was highest and the only one that did not maintain 1.0 DAM. This, despite having 91 octane as the highest available.

Having said that, I think a lot of people forget WHY 91 is the highest in certain locations (like mine). Altitude and temperature have an effect on EFFECTIVE octane rating. The higher and cooler the climate, the lower octane rating the fuel has to have to have the same effect. This is why there is 93 on the coast and 91 in the Rockies.

91 Octane where you are (guessing colorado) is very different than ACN91

I'm perplexed as to why the Stg 0 (which I thought was the stock map) has more aggressive timing than the 93 tunes. Even if it were to "make room" for more boost, why is it more aggressive across the board, and not just at the higher load conditions?
