News CNY/Binghamton Area Chat

Hi everyone, Im rexwork here on the boards, AKA sleepybear here and on the other boards.

Mods I hope this is ok and please let me know if it isnt, or if theres anything else i should do. Thanks

Im starting this thread in hopes the people that live in the Central/Upstate New York area. Im sure it will take some time to bring us all together in the area.

So this thread is for anyone thats in the new york area that is interested in subaru meets for food/ fun what ever. We meet up for events such as autox, trackdays, and just good clean fun.

If your favorite movie is fast and furious, and your all about illegal drag racing then this isnt the group for you!

WE'RE not here for rice...

Im also hoping this will help use to know where to get your car fixed, modded, body work done, ect. And of course where NOT to get work done.

WE WANT NO DRAMA!!!!! IF YOU JUST WANT TO HARASS, taunt, TALK S@#$, or bad mouth anyone or anything, please dont even post. We dont want any nonsense. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE "DRAMA STARTERS"/ S#$# Talkers.

IF YOU HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY DONT CHIME IN!!!!!

I see alot of NASIOC members that come up to CNY for college, and dont even know we subaru freaks exist up here.

So im hopping this will help anyone thats not from the area going to Cornell, IC, Cortland, SU, BU, RIT, ect, ect. Find out whats going on in the community.

So Come check us out and join the fun!!!

Ian,

AKA REXWORX AKA SLEEPYBEAR

My friend goes to Bing and he has a ghetto black SF Forester lowered on WRX suspension and silver Forester 5 spokes. You guys might have seen him in the winter drifting all over the place.

hi all,
i'm rice h8r's friend with the forester. yeah i go to school at binghamton university

the forester was stock acadia green metallic back then but is now has a work in progress rustoleum black paintjob on it (thus the "ghettoness" and dullness of the paint).

Once my schedule slows down and I go back to the night shift,I'll try to make it down with some of the "far north crew",we made a few trips down last year.

Just a couple notes for all you BU newbies:

1) The Cruisin' Buddies put on a mini car meet every Saturday evening at Barnes & Noble outside the Town Square Mall. A lot of retirees with their domestic muscle, but there are some cool cars there and is a nice place to hang out. This Saturday looks to be nice weather, so they just might hold their first meet this weekend.

2) California Grill could quite possibly be the absolute worst restaurant in the entire area.

Terrible food, terrible service, terrible atmosphere. The only thing good about it is that nobody goes there so the parking lot is always empty.

His name isn't Samuel...

He was the only one there with a Forester.
