Yup, we noticed it going in there, where the old Jalapeno's and burger something was. Actually is a pretty good place. I've been to the one on Gov't hill a few times.

The place that split was called A's Grill. A burger, pizza and sandwich place. It was good the one time I went. But after this, they can burn in a deep-fryer fire for all I care.

I'm pretty sure someone bought it and is trying to flip it. The ads are written differently and the latest has no picture.

Oh well, I thought for $2400 or offer $2000 it would have been a great base to start from for my project car. Better than the one I currently have that needs a lot of body work. For $4000 it's not worth it to me. I'll be fine with the one I've got.

I've been through all of your pain Dominator, only it was a galant vr4. It went for stupid cheap like 2K, when I was really in the market for a project car. I got over it bought a different car and now i just saw the same galant vr4 for sale on craigslist for 3k.

Don't get me wrong a WRX is better than a vr4, but it always hurts to lose out on a deal and then have someone to jack up the price and sell it shortly after.

you rather get the 99+ since it has the SOHC phase II engine. those were better build and didn't have your head gasket issues with the DOHC. Either way, the SOHC made the same power as the DOHC. Just one less headache when doing a timing belt.

WGMG - just found out 10 mins ago im the NCOIC of EST tomorrow, why didn't they tell me this like a couple of days ago?????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

Also, IIRC from way back when, some of those early SOHC Phase 2 engines actually had some Phase 1 internals. (At least for the Legacy's)

Quote:
I talked with Trey Cobb last night and confirmed exactly where to look, and what to look for, to see if you have a phase 1 or phase 2 block. You can only be about 95% sure he said, as there were a small number of phase 2 blocks with some phase 1 internals.
Quote:
The quote from Section8 is only telling you how to distinguish between the SOHC and DOHC engines. That does not tell you if you have a phase I or II block, as there were some '98 2.5RS's and '99 2.5GT's that had the phase II block (normally associated with the SOHC setup) but were DOHC (normally associated with the phase I block). To be honest, there's really no need to even look at the timing belt covers as long as you know the model year of your car. All '98 2.5RS's, '97-'99 2.5GT's, and Outbacks are DOHC, which is usually considered the "Phase I 2.5L engine". However, as I said, some of those Phase I DOHC engines actually have the Phase II block. All '99+ 2.5RS's and '00+ Legacys and Outbacks are SOHC (except, of course, for the H6 Outbacks).
Of course, it's from the interwebs, so it's true

Wgmg: all the little parts that you didn't account for in your project budget that start adding up. Gaskets, nuts and bolts, special tools, etc...50 dollars here, 20 dollars there...pretty soon you've got $300 in misc stuff.
