I've read that a couple people on here have been able to have them fixed under warranty, is that right? What do you guys think?

I had a few bald spots on the edge of my trunk. Dealer gave me free touch up paint however it wasnt the one you buy, it was from the body shop dept. They just filled a little plastic jar with dgm for me. I just dabbed it myself at home.

My other option was just to color it with a sharpie and dap some clearcoat on top so i guess this is better. lol

If anyone wants to drive to NJ you can use some of mine. lol

Swaybar? Wait until they have promo codes. The bar/bushings fit me was 88 shipped after discounts

Or if you are like me and impatient find the best price you can right now like I will be doing with the legacy/outback fogs

Check your local forum too. Steel bars dont exactly wear out. Pick it up in person to save shipping costs.

Here's the latest Motorweek update on their long-term Impreza test car:

Date: February 2013

Mileage: 16,000

We're having a lot of fun driving our long term 2012 Subaru Impreza, and that's something we've never said before about a non-WRX version.

Our initial concerns the 2.0i Sport hatchback's smaller 148-horsepower I4 being anemic were displaced with the first jab of the throttle. There's good power even if the CVT transmission whines a lot.

Long idling on cold mornings, and a lot of city use, have recently taken a toll on fuel economy. Still an average of 28.6 miles per gallon of regular after nearly 16,000 miles, is fine for any all-wheel drive hatchback.

Seats get high marks for overall support and comfort, but the dull interior, and cumbersome Nav radio, really saps your spirit on a long drive. We wouldn't ask friends to ride in the back seat for long periods either; too hard. But they fold easily for a wagon's worth of cargo room.

So in the end, the Subaru Impreza, continues to impress us a lot.

I'm surprised to read that they think the back seats are too hard. I thought rear-seat comfort was a strong point for the Impreza. Or is it just the Limited's leather seats that are hard?

Wow... I couldn't disagree more. The seats are WAY too soft, and very uncomfortable on longer drives. I can't wait to tear into them to see if I can replace the foam with a replacement that is firmer and of a higher quality.

I did the same for my last two motorcycle seats, but it might be more difficult to duplicate the shape of a car seat.

Hmm, I find the leather seats on my limited very firm. The main issue I have with it is the shape seems too flat, as I feel like a slide around a lot. I wish the seat had lumbar adjustments.

Some douche tried to run me off the road tonight with his purple f150. How dare I give him the finger for blinding me with his eyelevel foglights on a perfectly clear night. Dumbass.
None the less, braking and response on the subi was impressive.

Which is why I don't understand
1: hids in halogen reflectors
2: always using fog lights
3: high beams on all the time; behind cars in same direction and not turning them off for incoming traffic.

All create unnecessary glare for other drivers.

I would totally support mandatory license retesting every time you renew. Both written and a road test. If I have to prove every 6 months I can still fly an airplane, drivers should have to prove they can still drive every 5 years!

After a good 5 years without a Subaru, we picked up our 2013 on Friday! My wife and I will be sharing it as the "family" car, but it will mostly be her daily driver. I hadn't actually seen Deep Cherry in person when we bought it, but I'm really happy that we searched one out. The Ivory interior feels a lot more "sunny" than the Black IMO. Waltrip Subaru in Franklin, TN was fantastic to deal with.

Looking forward to taking it on the various vacations and family visits we have planned!

Some states are WAY too lenient with their licenses. I remember when I got my license in AZ when I was 16, it didn't expire till my 65th birthday!

The only thing in your list that I'm guilty of is that I always drive with my fog lights on. However, in my defense, they have the OEM bulbs, yellow lamin-x overlays, and they are aimed (appropriately) low to illuminate the 10 feet in front of the car.

I choose to drive with them on as a way of making sure people can see my black car. And, well, I just like the way they look.

Yeah. I also disagree with the "dull interior" comment. What they call "dull" is what I call simple rather than being over-designed. The Impreza's clean interior is one thing that sold it for me over the Focus' crazy interior.

Of course, my Pioneer head unit does jazz things up a bit.

Ill let you know what happens on the pai t chip warranty claim.
I scored two years free service with the purchase of my car. I don't know if was the dealer or subaru. They also give Free car washes and detailing for the life of the car, yes you can bring it in every day.

It's the dealer. My dealership offered none of this. Instead, I got a great purchase price on the car at a time when they were hard to find and many people were waiting months to get one (June 2012). I don't know if that's still the case.

Maybe the leather makes quite a bit of difference, since I have the cloth seats. I agree about the lumbar adjustment...

I do know that the WRX seats were very comfortable.

I haven't been back to the dealer since taking delivery of the car. Of course, the fact that they wouldn't even negotiate any service package into the price of the vehicle helped (free maintenance? yeah right! ).

The next time I go back will be either one of two things:
1. Warranty service (which I hope will not happen for as long as I own this car), or
2. When I decide to buy a BRZ. Although I might go to a different dealership for that.

I drive by once every few weeks, otherwise I don't really go back.

OMG exactly. A small number of well placed and tastefully accented controls that don't require a effing manual make me happy.
