Hey dude, idk if anyone asked or if you answered this or not, but where do you plan on mounting your surge tank? Somewhere in the trunk?

I don't have a picture of it on my phone but there are pictures of it on my Instagram account: @dave_tpg_tuning

Well I'm pretty confused so I figured id ask you to see if you could answer my question... If my car made 316whp/320wtq on a mustang dyno with what I believe had a 1.2 cf are my numbers still 10-15% lower than a dyno jet? Or does the cf make up for the percent?

Honestly, I have a great answer for you...

Every it is hard to compare a dynojet vs mustang dyno since mustang dynos can read diffrent depending on calibration settings.

A lot of times we just turn off the WCF that accounts for weather, altitude, etc. to avoid confusion with the numbers...

Our dyno is set to the mustang specified settings!

Sorry I can't give you better answer but every dyno reads differently to some degree whether it's due to weather, altitude, settings and/or user error

Just witnessed two different Evos make over 600whp on 93 octane yesterday and today at the shop...

Think I might be making a change sometime in the future lol

Haha yeah, that sti also had a EFR9180 w/ E85

Evo #1: 612/471 w/ FP 3794 on 93 octane
Evo #2: 607/415 w/ PTE BB 6266 on 93 octane

It was insane to see those numbers on pump gas!

With the Sti having having just under 15k miles on it, i am mostly not going to get what I want for it with the engine and supporting mods on it...
So most likely ill part it out as much as possible then sell it

We will see what happens I guess lol

1.2? That's honestly probably at least a dynojet equivalent. Probably higher than a dynojet. That's a 20% correction.

But ya, variances aside, you can figure its at least a dynojet number. If not a few HP high. Trap speed at a drag strip will tell you for sure. You can't "correct" that.

Got everything done for the most part, just have to pull the motor back out to retorque the head studs after putting it through a a few heat cycles but we have been so busy at the shop with customer builds, none of us have time to work on our own projects unfortunately lol

Plan on coming in Sunday most likely to retorque the studs and it should be good to go so it will be at the Pittsburgh vintage Grand Prix the following weekend :-)
Just out of curiosity, are you planning on removing the cams to torque the head studs? I wasn't sure if there was a way to do it without removing them. I will be going through the same procedure again soon. Had a valve just decide to break while cruising down the road.

Evos make power easier than the Subaru... But not without their own faults. Stock block the X rods are the weak link. And our drivetrain isn't as strong as the STI. But man do those heads flow

Removing the camshafts is the only way to access the head studs to retorque them!

I have to retorque mine after running a few heat cycles since I am using the copper head gasket

I wouldn't bother getting an Evo X but you are correct about the 4B11 connecting rods!

I have always had a soft spot for Evos, especially after seeing what our own sponsored Evos have accomplished...

Anyone interested in buying the Sti as it sits right now before I start parting it out???

I would of gotten a 4g63 if I could of found one that was in reasonable shape. I just didn't have the patience to wait and search. Now those blocks are near bulletproof when built. Minus the crank

Ya. That's what I thought. Just making sure I wasn't missing anything the last few times I've done it.

Haha yeah, just want to see what the dark side has to offer...

I have owned two different Stis over 8 years and had a blast building/tracking/driving them and who knows what the future had in store...

I will be putting a for sale thread for parts when I get home later today and will be posting a link in here!

Also, I will have the car ready to sell in about 2 weeks so feel free to make offers ahead of time if you want a better deal than what I will be listing it for publicly!

14,600 miles on chassis and I will not be putting anything other than 2011+ parts on the car so the next owner will not by buying some thrown together POS
