Hello Matt,

I don't think that it would work as is on a Legacy GT, or more accurately, the mount points are almost certainly different. It could possibly be made to work with the Legacy GT, but that is something that I cannot guarantee.

AVO does make custom intercoolers - if you give us specific measurements, we can certainly fab something up. We are working on getting a FMIC for the Legacy GT/Outback XT going, hopefully it will get done sooner than later, though SEMA is slowing things down a bit.

Cheers,

Paul Hansen

any pics of this IC installed? retaining the factory bumper support sounds too good to be true. is this w/ the jdm bumper or usdm? any trimming involved in the installation?

Here is some photos from a fitment we did about a year ago:

The bumper beam does require trimming for this FMIC. We do sell a replacement bumper beam that allows for the fitment of this bumper. We've fitted them to JDM WRX/STI's and USDM WRX/STI's.

as you can see in the image above, there is some slight trimming required for the hose ends of the FMIC. We also trimmed out the black insert that goes over the bumper beam at the request of the customer, but that is not necessary.

Cheers,

Paul Hansen

thanks for the quick reply/pics! do you have any of the engine bay so i could see the piping layout?

the core seems a little small, by dimensions, smaller than the txs and bigger than greddy.

couple more questions, it says you sell another bumper beam, is it not included in the kit?

Is that the V8 RA engine in the pictures? Didn't the V8 jdm sti motors come with the one piece manifold?? Would you be willing to split the shortblock and heads?

That is a Ver.8, D revision RA Spec C motor. The intake manifold was replaced at the dealer with the STI intake manifold. We are not willing to split the shortblock and heads at this time.

Hello,

The motor is still in our tuning shop here in Japan (and Ross is looking at it with thoughts of building yet another race car with it...).

Shipping to NC is going to be about $500.00usd to the nearest port, and then you will need to arrange pickup and shipment from that port to your location.

And to answer the other poster, yes, we'd probably make more money selling the heads, the intake manifold, and the shortblock separately.

Cheers,

Paul Hansen

Subablunc,

It will likely be close to $400-500 usd, but I'll see if there is any shipping price difference to your location.

Paul,

Would it be possible to ship from your shop in Australia ?

it should be less less expensive in that case

Well, we'd need to ship it to our australian operation first!

(if we did that, I can't guarantee the WRX guys wouldn't snag it first!)
