Yes, it's an OT thing.

Matt, why are you creating a thread about caravaning when you're not even doing the driving? I am.
1-2 cars turns into 5-6 cars... and that's not something I want to be involved with, especially with a van full of people. Never did like caravaning, never will.

You're more than welcome to set up caravaning if you wish to take your own car, but I, and others, strongly discourage it, especially over long distances.

"Burn One Down", but it's the 3rd one so it's B1D --> B3D...

But KC already has a van lined up for some of us...

I'm with KC and discouraging caravaning unless it's a few cars, IE no more than 3.... And the Van won't be in the caravan (KC correct me if I'm wrong)...

<--- Official photog of the van!!!

More than likely I will not be participating in the van thing. I believe that my gf and I will be driving down on our own because we will be staying at her mom's or a hotel. We'll probably have mumbles and one other in the car with us.

Well if Satan backs out, if you can get to Providence by 6am on Sat... looks like there's a spot available.

Here's the plan for the van.

12 pass van, max 10 people. Maybe two spots needed for equipment (room under seats?).

Plan to camp at the party. The party bus, once stopped, will be parked for the evening. This is a party for OT, by OT. If you cannot stand OT, this probably isn't where you'd want to be.

~$30+splitting gas and tolls per person. I'm renting from Thrifty for around $300 for 4th to 6th.

Leave 6am Sat morning. Be there around 1-2 in the afternoon.

Leave MD around 7-8ish the following morning and be back for 2-3 on Sunday. (return time is a goal, but it can be later... I see no reason to hightail it out of there 1st thing in the morning... so people can sleep a little.. if you call it that). I think it's optimistic, in the very least, to plan a return time any time before 2pm.

I plan on renting the van for a return time around 8pm Sunday... so that's flexible.
