No exterior mods - No FMIC - stock rims. And this weekend I will be getting rid of all of my DEFI gauges.

Exhaust was a tanabe gold medallion blue-flame potato shooter.. Hacked that ricer can off and tossed it in the dumpster.. Tucked in a magnaflow offset-center oval can with a 3" turndown - all painted flat black.

68HTA on e85 running 26-28 PSI daily.

Reliable? Sick setup too. Def wouldnt see that pulling 11's! I would love to see the face of the driver of a Vette or Viper after you just spanked his $70,000+ sports car!

What were you able to run at the 1/4? I love the cars that just make you laugh because they are so fast.

Was this a to be a purpose built car? or just see what happens sort of thing?

Reliable as it can be when you are more than doubling stock horsepower..

Trans didn't last long - but other than that I've put about 15k miles on it at this power level daily.. Solid tune w/ e85.. Not too worried.. I had a few looks at the track.. One run I actually DID line up with a brand new z06. But he had been running 14's all night.. (No traction)..

OK, so I guess my STi falls into the category of "Extra Fast Grocery Getter That Can Embarrass Most Other 'Performance' Cars"

To be honest, the wagon is somewhat of a sleeper from the factory. I haven't gone as far as a lot of the guys in this thread, but the thing still keeps up with modded STis.

Doesn't exactly look like a POS.. but it looks like your run of the mill Forester XT.. You wouldn't expect it to beat down slicked up classic muscle or run close to a modded new GTR.. Let alone run 11s

its not your stage 2 stock looking sti.

nor should your car have any kind of lip, flashy wheels, large exhaust, loud bov, etc.

its a car that should look somewhat ****ty or stock, and put down stupid power, or track numbers.

this car for instance is a stock looking eclipse spyder, albeit posesses a 10.88 @ 133 1/4
http://www.modified.com/features/mod...der/index.html

So the link you posted shows a car with a large exhaust, flashy wheels, a cage, and looking at the specs it has a TiAL 50mm BOV & 4mm wastegate.

very sleeper...

Sleeper is in my opinion, when a car looks like nothing spectacular to the naked eye. so the average motorist would.t notice it, but a truly trained eye may be able to find a few hints. Hood scoops, spoilers ,lips and the like, are an instant disqualification 'cause any 10 year old boy will see them and say "that car is fast" and that's not what sleeper is. Even having really nice paint, and a fresh wax implies something other than sleeper because it shows that you care for the car and are putting time into it.

My car is almost there, I have a 2002TS that has a WRX engine running 14 lbs of boost, and full LGT drive line. It has been broadsided, which really adds to the sleeper look... I am working on covering up the FMIC. I opted for the FMIC, because it is much harder to see than a hood scoop, and when meshed over properly, it can be almost invisible.

P.S. All of this is IMHO. IF you'd like to argue a point, that is fine, but please don't flame

ya, my car is somewhat... but my flashy wheels give way....
it just look like a L wagon, hood scoop, wheels and a clean drop. Then again the Brembos are behind the wheels and there's an exhaust. So my car is somewhat clean sleeper? It can be considered... but at the same time almost not. lolz

A clean C5 Corvette guy said to me once..... "You're not suppose to beat me!"

looking at the car from anywhere besides the front, it looks like just another bug eye, and even at times you cant see the FMIC. its fast, but it doesnt really look it...
