Lord Atak,

Technically you are correct, but I was referring to the beefiness of the internals. I can live without the variable valve timing, but would like a bulletproof bottom end. Good point, though.

Trying to answer questions where I see no answers posted yet...

Local auto boutique shops sell the STi blanks so you can have duplicates made. Owning a B4 myself, I'm not sure if the key block would the same as a standard WRX...

Center diff control is only availabe on the RA version and not the standard STi (which is my website pics don't show this...)

The brochure calls it a 'semi-closed' cylinder block if that helps address any confusion.

The turbos use STi-built turbines, bearings, and compressor seals which minimize gap between the parts.

1675 kg is full loaded with passengers; standard STi is 1430 kg and the RA is 1400 kg.

The standard WRX comes with 17 inch x 7.5 JJ rims (225/45ZR17) and the RA comes with the same or 16 inch x 7.0 JJ rims (205/50R16).

Good question on the HID system; the Legacys now come standard with height-adjustable HID lighting.

Hope that helped.

Cheers.

Question

Thanks ..B4,
How much lower are Sti models compared to standard? They look at least an inch lower. We are getting sport suspension kits in the U.S. apparently utilizing the stock springs. Are the Sti suspensions still liveable day to day?

The wagon looks 'clean' does it have much in the way of a body kit compared to standard issue?

Thanks again.

b4...thanks for all your help...

please, more talk of the STi wagon...i would like to mod a US WRX wagon close to STi specs (i know there are a lot of J-Spec items that we don;t get...varible timing and the like)

Will the 225 fit under the wagon fenders? as far as upgrades in contries where the new age impreza is on sale, is the wagon getting parts options as well, or are things centered around the sedan?

thanks!
