Lmao....

+1 for the kids though. At least they ride bikes instead of playing need for speed!

sort of a funny happening instead of phrase.

My brother went through the effort of bs'ing a car salesman into thinking he had 15 grand to put down on an STI so he could take it on a 5 minute test drive and the car put him in his place and he managed to stall it 60 feet from the dealership. He's also the kind of person who should not own a Subaru.. you know the kind of people who are ******** and don't know how to give a nice car a complement.

Had our little group parked up waiting to roll out to a meet and a guy comes to us asking for some change for food. Being the good guy Greg that I am, I gave him the change in my cup holder. He then was saying things like : "Wow this is like that movie. What was it? Super Fast too Furious???". He complimented our cars and went on his merry way. I think he meant "Subie Fast Makes You Furious." ( Coming to Cinema and I-Max Summer 2020 )

Went on a date recently. Our 2nd date. I drove her around to dinner and drive in movie. On the way back home...
Her " your car sounds like an airplane"
Me *spools a little bit "you mean that noise?
Her "yea, what is that?"
Me "that noise is why I bought the car"
Her "I don't like it"

Needless to say, we didn't go on another date after that. True story.

Girl:your car sounds pretty
Me: you mean the little whistle sound?
Girl: yeah, it's pretty.
Me: that's what makes it fast too

I work about 2 miles from a big airport. I used to see a coworker keep looking in the air as he left the building while I was just starting my car. Long story short, he thinks my car sounds like a helicopter. I now say "I am going to fly my helicopter" as slang for I am going home.

Smart move. That could have grown into "it's either your CAR or ME!!!!!"

My supervisor at work drives a 5 speed Tc. He cut me off as I was leaving work. Then he was being a dbag so I just gave it 50% and passed him with ease him. I slowed down after because there was a car in front of me. He passes me on the oncoming lane and I let him get in front of me to avoid a crash or anything. He thought he beat me in a race

The next day he asks me if I want to race and I said "Nah, my 4EAT cant keep up" He said "I know, I smoked you around that car.."

I proceeded to slowly drive away, roll up my windows and burst out laughing

Sounds dangerous to be around...... and wreckless. I would avoid out side of work at all costs!

So this happened a while ago, but I told myself I would finish reading the thread first.

I had just installed my Invidia N1 and went to pick up my friend.

Friend: I thought you said you installed a new exhaust on this?
Me: I did (?)
Friend: Its really quiet
Me:

I totally forgot that he was 60% deaf in one ear and 40% deaf in the other.

He actually got surgery a few weeks later and when he got in my car again his ears were really sensitive and he held them during the ride. Kind of felt bad, but at the same time it was funny.

So I'm pretty drunk and wanted some munchies so my sober buddy said he'll drive... if he can drive my car....just a stage 2 bugeye.. it took some talking on his part but I agreed.

As we hit almost triple digits the first time,

Him: hol***** who needs a girlfriend when you have this car

Second time to triple digits

Him: I love this thing! it just keeps going and going.. (he is just giggling like a little kid right now with excitement)

As we are exiting

Him: How can I ever drive my corolla again?

It made me laugh anyways.

Took my LGT to the dealership yesterday for a recall notice (brake lines). First time I have had this one at the dealership. So they do whatever they do and I leave. When I get home I notice a strange sound, kinda a whine or air leak sound. Hard to explain.

Anyway, the service dept called me today to see if I was satisfied with their service etc.

I said "ya, it was fine. However I am noticing a strange sound that wasn't there before"
Her "what does it sound like?"
Me - (explain the best I can)
Her "Oh, of course, I know what it is. The first time a customer brings in a car we put a cat (the furry kind that goes meow) in the engine bay, we have a warehouse full of cats just for that reason." she laughs. I laugh. She says she'll talk to the service manager and give me a call back.

For reference I drive a 04 wrx in wrb with sti turbo/supporting mods, full exhaust, full suspension

My Fiancés aunt from Virginia came up for a holiday awhile back. She says "that's a cool little car you got out there, its one of those new mustangs right?" I answer yeah its one of the new 4 door mustangs.

Few months later she comes back up with her new base model mini cooper hatch her husband bought her. She tells me "its probably twice as fast as my car, its one of the fastest cars out there". I smile and say oh yeah those are nice cars.

don't get me wrong I do appreciate modified minis and the mini coupe
