Position Description/Responsibilities:

Technical support for trials and projects
Training dealers
Help customers utilize scanner technology
Represent Cyra at Tradeshows
Hold seminars
Help Sales Managers and Dealers with Demos
Give presentations on the Cyra technology to prospective customers
Qualifications/Skills/Degree(s):

Commercial experience in the Plant or AEC market
BS in Civil or Chemical Engineering
Excellent presentation skills
2 years sales support for a hardware/software high tech. product
Ability to work from home with up to 50% travel
CAD skills

Market Segment Manager
Overall Objective:

The market segment manager has the overall responsibility for the strategy and marketing planning activities for a specific market segment. This includes the definition of segment specific product and service solutions, support of sales channels and partners within the segment, and driving market positioning and evangelizing internally/externally the Cyra advantage.

Main Tasks:

Collect and synthesize information relevant for the future success of the assigned market segment. In particular analyze customer behavior and provide user case studies and application scenarios, understand and anticipate customer needs, and forecast changes in competition and market conditions.
Formulate and implement market segment strategies that are fully integrated with the business strategy. Demonstrate ability to synthesize macro market trends and technological developments and translate these into strategic actions for the company.
Prepare marketing plans that support the achievement of the market segment strategies. Develop and execute segment specific marketing programs working closely with Product Management, Sales and Marketing.
Provide comprehensive market requirements to Product Management for definition of new products (Market Requirement Documents)
Identify any partnerships required for solutions. Manage segment specific partnerships and alliances across the supply chain. Develop and execute key partner programs to advance business relationships.
Influence sales process to effectively sell solutions and in conjunction with Marketing develop sales tools (including sales guides, collaterals, presentations, white papers and case studies).
Drive segment specific product launch planning and support.
Drive segment specific sales communication, training and support.
Support trade and industry events in conjunction with the Marketing and Sales teams.
Key Skills:

Excellent application knowledge of the assigned market segment and a good understanding of the technical capabilities of the products that can potentially serve the segment.
Understanding of key marketing concepts: product/market life-cycle, market analysis, marketing planning, marketing mix
Excellent communications skills with the ability to work in teams in a very dynamic environment.
Proven negotiation skills, superior relationship management skills and ability to influence others is critical.
Passionate to meet customers expectations
Education & Professional Experience:

One of the following is a must:

Licensed Surveyor (e.g. Professional Land Surveyor)
Bachelors Degree in Surveying with 3-4 years experience (field and office)
5 years survey application experience with a survey equipment manufacturer (support, product management)
Excellent knowledge of up-to-date survey practices using modern state-of-the-art equipment and procedures (GPS, robotic total stations, data loggers …).
Sound understanding of the entire data flow from office to field back to office; knowledge of different survey and design software packages is an additional asset.
Practical experience with new product development processes is an additional asset (market requirements, product specifications, …).

Project Manager

Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of product improvement and new product development projects. The Project Manager provides leadership in achieving defined project results in a structured and controlled manner and is in charge that deliverables are met according to product and market specifications (cost, time, quality/functionality).

Using best practices and methodologies the Project Manager defines overall project objectives, elaborates project plans, and refines statements of work to get a shared understanding of the project tasks with the cross-functional project team and product management. The Project Manager co-ordinates, monitors and controls all relevant project parameters.

Main Tasks:

Defines project scope according to project initiation process including project objectives, project organization, resource planning, cost, time and quality.
Develops the overall schedule and project plans including identification of resources required (financial, equipment, manpower, etc.)
Defines, controls and monitors all project related parameters
Coordinates the activities of the various inter-disciplinary team members and sub-teams responsible for project implementation, including third party solution providers. May include some contract negotiations for external development and/or embedded products.
Identifies and resolves project issues.
Facilitates good communication processes among the various functions & sites associated with the project.
Tracks progress to project plans and goals, providing management updates as required.
Supports development of project management procedures and implementation of appropriate tools and ensures that these processes & tools are applied during the planning and execution phases of the project.
Understands team processes and standards to better guide tasks and timings.
Understands the overall business environment and is able to evaluate a project’s financial repercussions from a corporate point of view.
Qualifications/Skills/Degree(s):

Strong leadership, people management and supervisory skills
Excellent social contact and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Analytical thinking and excellent problem-solving and decision-making competence
Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar tool
Knowledge of software engineering, including software lifecycles and methodologies
Experience dealing with emerging technologies
Minimum 3-4 years experience as a project manager for new product development projects in a high-technology industry sector
