lol Im actualy in on a coffee break from working on a metro. i swear everytime i fix something another will break. just got the oil leaks fixed monday starter went out thursday. but i have to say i prefer driving it on city streets to my wrx. its a way softer ride. But on the hiway its screaming at 55mph 3speed auto ftl...
But to stay on topic with the thread i got this one once in my 03 bugeye. O is that a neon!

in for the first page in version 2!

i took a really fast corner and was stopped at a red light. some guy in a pickup truck said to me let me see how fast this thing can go.
i proceeded to tell him that this is a station wagon and its slow.
he laughed and told me he's seen v12's in wagons
i looked at him and told him its a 4 banger and his whole face just dropped.

Me: "The red things?"
Him: "Yeah"

My bugeye has a slight smoking problem. I'm taking to get it checked out soon, it doesn't happen often but sometimes white smoke seeps out of the grill on the left hand side facing the car.

Anyways, one of my friends asked what it was. I told him it was boost purge (I was just kidding). He believed me and said that it was "pretty awesome".

Apparently my car is garbage until I get a HKS SSQV BOV according to some kid at a gas station who was washing his "sweet" turbo-swapped 240SX (w/the aforementioned part) with the window squeegee and the free paper towels...

^ everyone seems to think you need a BOV to let everyone know 'I have a turbo!!!'

I'd rather have the whistle from spooling up than a stupid whoosh

I disagree. I'd rather have a subtle whoosh than the sound of a tweety bird or a dumb pig whistle.

How does turbo spool sound like "a tweety bird or a dumb pig whistle"? I think you misinterpreted what he said.

this random kid in one of my lectures keeps trying to tell me that he knows cars, since he see's that i'm always on nasioc one day he sat next to me and we go into discussing cars and he asks me what i drive.

goes something like this:
him-so what do you drive?
me- an sti sedan
him-what a waste of money should have gotten a wrx
me- and you say this why?
him- they are faster for cheaper(he then tried to tell me that an sti has the same drivetrain as a wrx..5speed and all)

at this point it was a lost cause, and i was just having a blast talking to this retard. i brought up the fact that i'm saving up for coilovers. he goes, don't waste your money just cut the springs. it's the same thing.

as soon as i he told me that brilliant advice i asked what he drives... and *drumroll please*

he drives and i quote exactly what he said "i'm in a crx, it's sleeper i'll walk all over your sti." so i asked what he has done. he said that he already cut his springs and just put in a catback and an intake an is waiting for his racing seats to come in i made a point to never sit next to this moron again

It's always something about "Do a burnout!" or something questioning the hood scoop.

wow... just...wow

Did you ask him how much time those seats are going to shave off of his 1/4 mile time?

My favorite is being asked by drivers of V8 Trucks and Jeeps if I want to race.... umm... no? Why do people keep asking?
Next it will be a Kia or a Prius ... so not worth the gas.

to them i just reply, you never had me, you never had your car

i wonder if rice would be this popular without fast and furious?

You also have to yell at it to "shut up!" or else it won't work!!
