In Japan yes, they are fairly close in size externally to a 2J though, despite the half liter difference. Just like EJ's.

The 2JZ is a Very nice engine. But not worth a swap into one of these cars imho... Seems like to much work to make it worth it, not to mention the cost of everything...

The engine is roughly as big as the RB, and here is what had to go down with that car... look at the tranny tunnel work, oi!
http://www.driftworks.com/forum/drif...preza-rwd.html buuuuut im always down to see some good ol fashioned uniqueness! So more power to ya! keep in mind that the engine... is only half the work. The r160, and r180 will NOT hold up to the torque the engine will put out. So supra diff, Is300 diff, nissan r200, or rx7 diff are your options. I priced the cost of my RWD conversion today and came up with roughly $4,000 in just making the rear tires spin and be strong enough to withstand the abuse that the rear sub will take as well as reliable. Just food for thought... -Stephen |

And as for the diff, that's the biggest thing holding me up right now, I'm fully aware that I'll need to install an r200, but the cost of custom made axles is killing my pockets. I've been following your thread on here for a while now, and you've done an awesome job! I'd love to see that thing in person one of these days, hopefully I'll see you at the track! I have a few questions for you so I'll shoot you a pm. -Steven |

Good question... I always thought that would be a decent light weight option.

I'm sorry, but do not want. I'd much rather have an LSx.

A 2jz wuld be awesome in the lighter WRX chassis. It would be a job and a half to fit in there tho.
