My new Logitech Marble Mouse is my new best friend!
Say goodbye to painful carpal tunnel in my wrist and hello to crippling arthritis in my fingers!
Anyone else have a better solution to using a normal mouse?

I already have joint problems but they are sloooowly getting better. Just curious if I'm missing some great innovation in pointer technology. |

Just make sure you're not rotating your wrist from side to side when using that ball. It should be straight both vertically and horizontally. |

Hmm...that's wierd that it is causing joint problems, I've got this mouse and I don't have any problems at all. The one thing I like about it is that I use my middle finger to move the mouse and thumb to hit hte buttons, much nicer then other mice I've used.

No the mouse isn't causing joint problems... I already have them. I grew like 6 inches in under a year and my joints didn't catch up... played a TON of guitar in that time too so my fingers are like an old man's. The track ball isn't aggitating the fingers much, but I can feel it a bit. I'm just cursed!

It will go away over time, I know that I had some joint problems too when I was younger, just wait for your joints to grow and you'll be fine.

The logitech FX is the way to go. Its odd to use but requires the least join strain of any of the rollerballs. Check it out.

Well it's been like 5+ years now and like I said, things have gotten better. My knees used to be so bad I could hardly walk without feeling pain. I've been taking a good deal of glucosamine and I think that's helped. It's just my fingers that give me hell now.

Here are the two "mice" I use on a regular basis - [read all day everyday]. These are the best - also when people come over and they want to use my computer they get frustrated and give up - they let me take over. Nothing worse/more frustrating than watching someone else use a computer.

I love my Trackman Marble... I've been using the thumb operated Trackmen since the 1st gen debuted back in the early 90's and I've never used anything else. It's hilarious watching non computer people try to pick it up and move it around like a mouse.

Not likely, I used to have two mice connected to my system, one so that I could use it from a distance...but then I realized that my resolution doesn't work well at all for that.
On trackballs that use the thumb, I just can't use those, idk waht it is, its just hard for me to go over and point with it. And I do enjoy it when people try and use my mouse, when they do get how to use it, they can't find which button to use most of the time |
