I'm due for an oil change soon and I'll be picking up some T6 again. I gotta say that out of all the oils I've used Rotella T6 is definitely the highest quality and best priced oil on the market for our cars.

I'm weary about all this "the oil feels better" stuff. I'm sure t6 is fine but I think im gonna try motul or amsoil after my royal purple is done destroying my engine...I might send it in for testing if I can find my blackstone kit that I missplaced

so I installed my koni yellows and the rear is a bit higher than I expected based on other people with the same setup...I guess its a spring issue...or maybe they wil settle...idk looks stupid now though

What springs? Take a wheel off and snap a pic of the setup. That seems high. Or if you have some pics of the shock/spring (assembled) alone, post them.

epic springs
the konis are longer than the stock rears so they should be somewhat higher but this seems like a lot although I think the car is on a bit of an angle because the driveway isn't totally flat |

Hm that looks super high... I'm on epic springs on my 2011 WRX sedan and thinking about koni yellows as well. Did you get the shock+strut or just the shock insert?

yeah... i don't think that's a driveway angle problem. did you loosen the sway bar endlinks and tighten them while the car was still lifted?

the koni bodies were just longer than the stocks by an inch or so. Its just a bit confusing because xluben has konis with RCE blacks which are also supposed to be 1" drop and his car looks much lower. |

I would have probably done the same thing. It looks like they go on that way to me? I want to buy those too but I think when I saw them they were around $900. Can't s why "inserts" would be that much. Please post a quick review on the ride quality compared to stock.
Edit: nvm I can tell it's on wrong now lol. Dragster wrx ftw! |

Ride quality is pretty good so far. It's a bit more jittery but much more controlled. Big bumps aren't horrible events anymore lol. Biggest difference I noticed was how much more composed it feels when you go charging down a rough patch of road. I took it on a dirt road also..that felt pretty good too. They are set 1 turn up from full soft for now. I think koni says you should start with at least 1/2 turn from full soft if you have drop springs. It is a lot of money for inserts but bilsteins are 999 (not sure if that includes shipping) and supposedly they have a harsher ride. The coilivers in the $1000 range aren't all that great either. |

Why would you get a Cobb ap when you can just buy a tactrix cable and a torqued performance map for less than half the price of a Cobb AP? Plus there are a ton of people running the torqued performance maps on 3gwrx.

I got mine for the ease of use and because I can use it as a gauge. That and because I snagged one locally on CL for $200 lol
