The front might be out just a touch, the rear should be pretty dang close to flush though.

I'm running 17x8 with 225/45s +45. Mine are real close to flush up front, and a little in on the rear.

I'm thinking it'll be close to, if not flush.

Digging through the thread and haven't found much.
I have posted this before, but it is the most helpful thing I have found:

Finally got some wheels. XXR 527 17x8.25 +35 wrapped in 225/45. Now I need some springs to lower it a touch.

So I called the dealership and asked if they would install springs (expecting no). The head technician for SoA did say no, along with a handful of claims that included not being valid for insurance due to ground clearance?? also that it would violate the warranty. Does anyone know if any of this is true?
I am aware it will require an alignment but other than that...

A little different flavor...

2013 XV Crosstrek

Wheels: Matte Black Enkei Fujin 17x7.5" +40ET. 17lbs (almost 6lbs / corner lighter than OE.)

Tires: Pirelli P7 Cinturato All Season Plus 225-55-HR17

I've had the tires on for 12k+ miles now, and they're fantastic. Did a ~ 3000 mile road trip vacation to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla in January. Best Damn highway tire for this car bar none.

Need input please. What is the best tire size for a rim that is 17x8.5? Would 235/45/17 be fine?

What would you recommend?....2015 Impreza base dark grey model....I wanna get wheels so bad....but cars brand new I'd hate to toss aside good tires......would you 1) get 15 inch rims to dress it up a bit.....or 2) wait till you can afford both rims and new tires (I'd like to go 16/17)....and if u have a good recommendation for a color that would look good on the dark grey let me know!

I'd go 17's no doubt. Looks like your in New England so you can save your 15's for winter.

It's probably the last time I will buy black matte rim. The tires turning orange really pop when it do.

I painted my stock 17 inch rims tiffany teal, so I don't know if you would like that color. At the moment though I got a new set of 17s that are SBC in color. Going to put them on within this week or the next.

And for all you rumble addicts mhm...
