Default My auto door locks are broken

I have searched for about an hour for every different combo of broken automatic door locks and cant seem to come up with anything. I have a 97 Impreza L wagon without keyless entry. The normal functionality is that all the doors follow the position of the drivers door lock. I.E. - Driver locks door = all doors lock / driver unlocks door = all doors unlock.

My problem seems simple enough, a few days back I went to unlock the drivers door to get into the car. I stuck the key in turned and unlocked the drivers door. I was expecting all the doors to unlock like normal but nothing happened to the other doors.

I spent a little time investigating this yesterday. The fuse for the door locks is clearly labeled and good (i tested it). If I manually unlock all the doors and then disconnect the fuse all the doors except the drivers door instantly lock at the exact moment I place the fuse back into the socket. I dont know if the drivers door has a servo motor to lock the door or not. It would not surprise me if it didn't since the rest of the doors follow the drivers door.

My main theory seems to be that the lock position switch in the drivers door is dead or stuck in the lock position. Does anybody know exactly where this is located and how it works? Are there any harnesses that may have come disconnected? I have looked at the door and cant seem to see anything electrical connecting to the locking mechanism. Thanks in advance.
Tom

I thought that you have to turn the key again for the other doors to unlock once you have unlocked the drivers side door. Maybe I'm mistaken...

Try unlocking the pass side door with the key. Do the other doors open as well?
