Default Choppy Tire Wear and Noisy Tires

I've just replaced my OE Bridgestone RE92 (215/45/R17) after only about 10K miles of wear on my 05 wagon. They had become very unevenly worn on the inside edges and were howling like crazy. I put on a set of BF Goodrich G Force TA KDWs (new tread design). These tires are howling right off the shelf, especially above 40mph. They handle great and the mfg spec sheet states "low noise". My car dealer says it is the tires and proved it by exchanging the wheels and tires with a new car to put the OE Bridgestones back on. However, he also says he expects them to wear poorly as other dealers are experiencing the same problem. Anyone out there seeing this? Could this be a chassis/alignment problem (dealer says car is to spec)? I run BF Goodrich TAs on my Vette so I'm used to a little tire noise but this is ridiculous.

if there is choppy wear its probably an alignment problem. go spirited driving? dirt? autox? speedbumps?
otherwise performance tires are usually louder than all season or comfort driving tires. bfgood ka is a good tire, if there is more tread ie more aggressive tread there is usually more noise involved. my parada spec 2's are daym loud. if i went with michelin or an all season it would b quieter.

Btw there is a fix for howling tires, turn your music up

I have a spirited driving style, mostly on curvy ashpault roads in Southern NH. Talked to the best local alignment shop who thinks it is likely just the tires. Any suggestions for 17in tires that perform well, wear well and aren't too noisy on these cars?
