So I came home to this...
My 30 acres have taken their fair share of "breezy" beatings. Trees down on my farm animals, etc. But 2 major storms in the past 3 years and I outlasted em all...then today's "breezy" conditions left me with this when I got home:
So what do you guys think? Appraiser shows up Thursday. I wonder if they consider it a loss with the structural damage on the driver side in back.

I am guessing it's totaled. The roof and rear pillar is bad. I am not sure what the insurance view is on repairing major structural parts though. Typically if it is 75% the value of the car to repair it, than it's totaled. Repairing that roof looks expensive.

it will be totaled, if not it will never be right again.. that sucks. I hope you guys have home owners insurance etc. although I remember something similar happening to my cousin, it fell under an "act of god" and insurance covered everything.
hope it all works out for you. try to buy it back and part it out, to re-coop the maximum amount you can. |

The car is still financed so I had full comprehensive to the bone insurance. It's covered. The appraiser comes out in a day or 2 and if its totaled I will obviously part it out to recoup loss...hell maybe now I can upgrade to an STI or a BRZ .
Ain't gonna stress out too much. I have white people problems. Not swimming in cash but I have my farm truck backup (94 ford f250) with only 120k original miles I use to get to work. So no stress there. And push comes to shove my boss would loan me a shop truck. Ill keep you guys posted! |

That's good! I hope every thing works out for the best. I just went through an accident and dealing with the insurance companies is such a pain.

*shrug* what are you gonna do? It's replaceable. I look at the bright side, I get another shot at getting something else now. I'll either look into 07 STi's (I don't like 08-10 bodystyles at *all*) or maybe even a Lotus Elise. Or I'll just get my wife to shut up and buy her her brand new Forester she's drooling over and I'll drive the truck for awhile until I see something pop. It'll work out.
