your still wrong, your car has very basic(crappy) handling suspension

The technical reason strut bars are desired is that vertical loads from the wheel pass through the strut and spring up to the strut top and towers, which leads to flex in the sheet metal around the strut tower and inner guard. Chassis flex is not conducive to firm response in a vehicle. Installation of a strut bar between the front and/or rear strut towers eliminates this flex. The result is faster and firmer response to steering inputs. Most users report this to be a very minor suspension modification ranked further down on the suspension modification path. On the other hand, the proliferation of inexpensive replica/eBay bars and aesthetically pleasing strut bars make this a common modification.

I'm still considering trying to go to the cruise....

I'm gonna change my vote from a definite no to a maybe on all three parts.

The only problems as of now are I dont know whether or not 1) I'll have a car by then (I should), and 2) it will be registered.

strut bars increase understeer, and last time i checked, our cars [imprezas in general, really] hang wide through corners w.out proper mods [proper mods being lower center of gravity, stiffer spring rates, and increased swaybar rigidity]

physics also says that the lower the rigidity in your suspension [ie. in a sway bar] the better the car will corner. increased rigidity up top [in strut bars] only causes the car to maintain a wider degree of body roll as it hangs wide through turns, understeering.

wow! are these kids serious? strut bars do nothing but increase understeer? Tell that to Whiteline, Perrin, Cusco etc. NO, better yet take them off your car. FTW

The more I think about it, the more I want to go. I think I can handle getting to my apartment at 9:00 PM and going to work at 7:30 the next morning. Plus, everything looks like its falling into place with the car, so that should all be set by Sunday.

Might as well put me down for the breakfast, cruise, and BBQ. I probably wont have any passengers.
