Default 2002 wrx engine rebuild

Have been rebuilding my wrx with a new engine for my old engine had turbo shrapnel sent through it. The new engine I bought was a non-avcs Jdm engine, supposedly the same engine that was already in it. From doing the swap from the old to the new engine everything was the same except for the head on the turbo charger side.
The heads valve cover has two hard hose connections coming out on the old engine. The new engine that supposed to be the same engine only has one connection coming out of the valve cover and it even looks like a plastic connection made into the head.
Is this something that I need to change the heads on the engine or can I change the connections out. Any help is greatly appreciated

See that was my first initial thought was to change the valve covers. But I’m worried that there’s some kind of like internal flow routed through the head to those two hose connections. To where the current one would only have something routed inside for one hose. This is my first Subaru build, I know as much as the next guy. I’ll try to get some pictures today when I go back out to the shop.
