Please do a write-up. There is enough interest for it clearly. Dimensions, step by step, and mounting tips would be wonderful. You would make a lot of people happy, including me of course

Where are you finding the plastic board? I cannot seem to find it at the local hardware.

Ha me either. I walked up and down home depot and couldn't find anything remotely close.

And does v2.0 just have bigger fins?

I almost finished my diffuser today. It should be finished tomorrow after work. This is the last mock up before mounting the fins and screwing in the diffuser.

I used your idea with plastic but found a local plastic company that sold celtic. It is expanded PVC which is pretty awesome to work with so far. I am still under $100 and have enough material to make a second one.

Pics are a little dark but it is looking pretty good now.

I like the virginia one better.

I wanted something different than you are going to find anywhere else. Pretty much all the companies that make them have a few big fins. I'm not knocking it I just didn't want mine like that.

I looked up plastic board in my area and found a few companies that sell big ass sheets of it. I tired both wal mart and home depot to no avail.

Just finished mine. I took some pics buy they are too dark. Tomorrow in the light I will take some. I am pretty happy how it came out. Just one mistake but I don't care, I saved a ton of money doing it myself.

Probably around 3-5 pounds. Much rather have stainless though just for stability and ease of mounting. Hopefully making another but tig welding the fins instead of bolts. Had the stainless sheeting sitting around so the cost of the project was only $15 for hardware and paint.

Nice, it is really easy to work with. It is pretty damn strong and not heavy either. Pics will come later of the finished work.
