Default Damn Exedy stage 1

well my stock clutch acted like it was going to start slipping at a mere 42k. So i went on down to RLZengineering and orderd an exedy stage 1. Got it home, pulled the tranny (heavy bitch, it is) put it in...bolted tranny back on, go to engage the TOB to the PP...and pop, yay it's in. bolt everything else up...go back in the car to feel the pedal so i can adjust it...and it feels weird. go back out, unbolt hte intercooler and what not....and somethings not right. i pull off the slave cylinder and feel the release fork, and it's no longer attached to the PP. ***? Sooooo, off comes the tranny again (Heavy!!) and one of hte ears is snapped off the TOB. I'm thinking....***!!??! SO the stock one gets cleaned up (i wanted to repack it, but i got lazy) and it goes back on. Get it all back together...and same thing!!!!!! At this point i'm just pissed. Sick, g/f cheated on me and lied, new project car still hasn't arrived, and the WRX isn't working right.......so, i said **** IT. Call up one of the better local tranny guys, and tell him what's up. He tells me to bring it buy and he'll check it out too. So on the trailor it goes...and off to him. Get it there, he pulls the tranny back and pulls the junk apart. I take off, cause I'm tired....and just a bit ago he calls me up. Apparently the PP was screwed. There are some bent fingers on it...and no one knows how. Apparently it either got busted in shipping or something.......no one knows. So i'm having him grab me another PP and i guess i have something else to shoot now.....sucks

well, i didn't even see the PP before it was put on. the car was at a friends garage, and i just came over and pulled the tranny, and went home. that night, he put on the PP and flywheel. I came back over in the morning to put the tranny back on and what not...so i never even took the time to check it out. So, it's my fault for letting it slip by...but when you have 5 cars that HAVE to get in and out of the garage that day.....you just kinda rush your own stuff.

so what does possibly shipping damage have to do with the clutch itself?

Maybe the title should be something like "Damn shippers!" or "Damn UPS"....

I really doubt that the damage would be like that from the factory.

looking at it more......i think it WAS a defective clutch. the box was fine and not torn, bent, dented, damaged in anyway

i'll have the damaged/defective PP in my hands within the next 2 days, its still laying at the garage somehwere, and i'll get pics
