Question GT35R vs GT37R?

I am looking to do an upgrade on my car and was wondering what would be a better build to do, a GT35R or a GT37R? Trying to keep stock internals...

I have a 2004 Sti that currently has:
APS SR50
APS FMIC (DR 650)
APS BOV
APS or PERRIN UP/Down Pipe
Perrin 3.5" Turbo Back
Looking to upgrade all, and sale all items listed.
Not to noligable on the turbos and was wondering what the differences where between a gt35r, gt37r and a gt40r. Which one can the stock crank handle?

The stock crank? The stock crank is not a weak point of the motor. The pistons are really the one thing you may want to think about changing.

If your car is a street car the gt35r is PLEANTY.

On the stock motor 500-530ish. On a built motor 600+. That is race gas of course. On straight 91 no water/meth it will be mabey 400-425 in the winter months, in the summer i would turn the wick down a bit for saftey so mabey more in the 330-350whp range.

Hey, Cron. Personally, the fact that is doesn't come with a bumper bar replacement is enough, but why do you consider it one of the worse?

The hot pipe coming off the turbo not only makes a ridiculous bend, but is about 1.5" in diameter.. That pipe gets super hot, it is jsut a worthless IC imo.

dude you would probably be fine keeping the IC you already have...like said above no need to worry about the stock crank really on any of those set ups unless your planning on spinning your motor 8k+ rpm. 35R is plenty for a street car.

No worries as we sell Ultimate racing also, great kit..

The dr65 is not even in the same league as a gt35r, it is basically a gt30r varriant. If you want Hype, or a cool looking red turbo go with aps, if you want power go with a gt35r..

Would we be able to use the setup I have and bolt-on the GT35R? Or what is reusable out of my existing kit?

No you can not, the gt35r is on a totally differnt platform then bolton turbos.

You could use your exhaust, and your intercooler they rest needs to be changed. If your injectors are big enough you can retain those too..

For pistons Mahle, Weisco are both good brands to look at. The stock rods are pretty strong.

Lol, I have no will power

Nick: Well he got a 7 day ban, so I hope it was worth it. Everytime I see that gif posted I'm banning the user on sight. Users I see posting it will get longer and longer time banned. So as I've already suggested in other threads, stop posting it.
