Talking springs are on the way

I Have great thanks to the guys at Ralliespec
they finally are getting a set of Eibach springs and we will make them fit from what I know there is a minor mod needed to get them to fit. Will keep you informed on the work once they get the springs in. struts are sitting in my house as well as my rims which are 205R50/16.

That is very good news as I was very disappointed when they said that weren't directly for the 90-91 Legacy. If anyone can do a good job it's those guys! Please keep me informed as I'm hoping to go the same route.

Shik, you can buy the rear strut conversion from Subaru Legacy Turbo Club or you can buy just the top mounting spring from any Subaru Dealer. That's what I did on my car. The different is just the rear spring. Our rear spring on top is smaller.

Felix,

I looked everywhere to find Eibach springs, and I can NEVER find one for year. What year is yours? Mine is a 98 GT...

Rich, the thing I find wierd is that SPD offers Eibach springs but I called Eibach like 3 different times and they said they had nothing available. Maybe they make them just for Mike , I don't know.

I have a 99 though and will get the eibach from spd soon.

THe Eibach springs mike has are made in Germany special for him & us.. He has worked out a special deal with them where he is the only dealer, They make what askes for.. Pretty cool HUH? The US Eibach doen't have or make anything for SUbaru's. BUt the German made Eibachs are supose to be better. They are part of the Pro-Kit series.

Ground-Control springs lists applications for Subarus (Legacy, Impreza, and Forester) in their ad (in SCC). Their springs are made by Eibach... Their website, however, makes no mention of Subarus. =^( Perhaps a call to them could net some info?

In our recent conversations with Felix he really pushed us to research the current state of Legacy suspension, besides the Eibach and H&R springs here is some of what we dug up. Enjoy. NB, we do not stock any of this stuff but could special order it if there is interest. Naturally pricing would be competitive on a group buy.

1) Spax makes SportSprings for Legacy AWD Turbos '91-on. Lowers car slightly, T.U.V approved.

2) Bilstein makes a set of Sport dampers for Legacys (wagon included) '93-on. Also available in the Sprint short-stroke design that is specially valved for use with aftermarket lowering springs.

3)Bilstein Rally Coilovers. Available in Tarmac or Gravel (ride height and valving differences). Beautiful competition suspension with precision CNC-machined strut bodies and blue-anodized top mounts.

Any questions just e-mail. Thanks,
Dave/ Jorge
