Default Seat belt latch nut!

Ok, so I need a seat belt latch nut. I measure it, M11x1.25. No big deal right? Hah.

Ace doesn't carry it, nor any hardware stores as far as I can tell. Went to the dealer, they looked it up. $50! Parts guys thought that was wrong, so he called Subaru. Subaru says that's for a 100pack, but the dealers screen supposedly doesn't show that. But still, can't even get 1 nut! Actually, I want 2, but still.

Besides for a junkyard search, anyone have any ideas? Or, anyone have some laying around?

They are 11x1.25 flange nuts.

Well, 10 doesn't fit, and 12 is too big. I measured it with my micrometer, and it showed 11mm.

But I dunno, maybe I'll go measure it again. Could be I'm just retarded.

I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as M11 nuts.

Are you sure the M10 you tried was the proper thread pitch?

Grab a picture of the nut. I probably have one I can ship to you for a couple bucks.

Are you talking about the nuts that hold the seat belt receiver to the seats (BG)? Or the bolts on the later models? The bolt is a 7/16 with a 20 thread. (picked up two of the bolts at Lowes, they were the same size as the fat bolt that holds the back inside part of the seat to the middle of the car) I have both nuts sitting in the garage if you want them.

Be careful with what you replace those bolts with. Most of the crap hardware at Home Depot or Lowes probably isn't strong enough to be a direct replacement for the OEM hardware - that's a pretty important bolt! I'm assuming the OEM stuff is Grade 8 or higher. The same goes for suspension and brake hardware, don't skimp because inferior hardware can cause a catastrophic failure.

blueb3- Yes, that's the nut I'm talking about.

Dobes- If you look on your Legacy seat, where the seat belt latch is, that's the nut I need. I'm actually missing both of mine. I have at least one in a box(somewhere).

No, I'm not. Like I said above, I might just be retarded in my measurement.

This is correct... when I installed my STi seats, I was missing the nuts and was told:

"ALL seat belt mounting bolts/locations in ALL cars, Foreign or Domestic by any Mfg., are 7/16 - 20. This is a federal requirement/standard! All hardware provided by aftermarket harness mfgs. meet this standard as well."

Speedwagon, shoot me a pm with your address and I will mail them out to you.

And the bolts I picked up were grade 8, Definately not someplace to skimp on.
