Default USDM STi injectors fit in a 98 2.5rs

I had a hard time finding a direct answer to this quesiton, so this post is only to inform everyone that I put USDM sti injectors (yellow top) in my 98RS (with ej22t shortblock) and all is well. Put down 254hp on a dyno dynamics today at 16lbs on a t3/t4 turbo and linkplus ecu.

Yes 98s have Side Feeds. Holy crap, that makes finding injectors sooooo much easier for me. Thank you for this information.

Can all the side feed subarus use USDM STI injectors? Anybody have a list of all side feed subarus? Obviously all the EJ257 cars but what about older vehicles?

1991 - 1994 Legacy Turbo's use side-feeds, hence me selling them since I need top-feeds.

I'm in the final stages of my swap... I made a few last minute changes, like buying a VF-30 and 3 inch up/down pipes. I'm going to be running the Greddy Emanage Ultimate, which is installed already. I have placed my FMIC for sale, but I may still use it if noone bites on it. Otherwise I'll be using a stock top-mount.

Summary of parts i've installed during my swap:

Cometic Headgaskets
new timing belt, tensioner, water pump, etc.
Emanage Ultimate
Greddy boost pressure sensor
GM boost control solenoid
Innovate LC-1 Wideband
STi Pink Injectors
VF-30 turbo
AEM cold air intake
3 inch up / down pipes (catless)
clutchnet.com upgraded pressure plate / clutch disc
new throw-out and pilot bearings
new STi group n engine mounts
1 step colder NGK iridium plugs

Nice numbers kief!
i'm actually pondering right now on whether or not to toss a 16g wheel into my td04 after i port it.

^
Nic, did you tune the Emanage Ult yourself? or did you get somebody to do it? I will be installing my parts soon and am just looking for some options.

Damn Aphex, your car is looks sweet...
I haven't tuned my Emanage Ultimate yet, I'm not quite done with my swap. I will be attempting to myself though, hopefully if I'm done soon I'll have the help of Hitokiri, since I don't really know what I'm doing... = )

Did you need to mod the wiring clips? You didn't have to mod gaskets or anything? They just swap in and work?

Thanks
Brad

the wiring clips I had were already modded as I had 440s on my car before (unknown manufacture, i bought it that way). I'm sorry, i forgot to mention that, so there is a little work inviovled but it wasn't that difficult (just crimping on little connectors and shoving them in ).
We took the gaskets off my injectors (again, not stock) and put them on the sti's and literally just popped them in at that point.

for those interested

jaxx, i ddin't have stock clips in there (rallispec modded them when the 440s were in), so you may not have to.
I"m running about 15psi now bcause I don't have any cash to fix stuff that may break. Figure this is safe + still fun to drive.
how much boost are people running with this setup?

Thats a great tune!!!

250 at KTR is huge man congrats. Is that Franz? Did you run out of fuel at 16psi is that why you stopped? or just looking for a nice safe tune?

nope, I had enough fuel but I want the car to be safe
i should have went for the "bragging" run, 22psi or something just to show off, but I think I'm good now. Car feels fantastic and knowing Franz, i don't have much to worry about in terms of reliablity.
So overall, i'm pretty damn happy

In terms of the clips, I honestly don't know if you need to mod them. If anyone is going to the Wickedbigmeet, feel free to take a look at it.

For the record, NISMO side feed injectors fit subie side feed apps for those that are looking for cheap huge injectors.
