Default WTB: STi TMIC

Getting my car Protuned and thought this might make a nice addition.

Anyone have one laying around?

What's the going rate on a (used) OEM part?

Hmmm... *thinking*

I'll let you know if $400 is in the budget!

I think I'd need a different Y-pipe / throttle body / BPV hoses compared to stock, no? I've got the Perrin set of 3.

the y-pipe is easy; you just cut your WRX one, although I'm sure I could let my Perrin kit (red) go with the TMIC if the price is right.

I just read a few threads on it.
I would just extend the Y-pipe with a coupler and buy a piece for the TB from Green Line...
Does the stock WRX BPV bolt up without problems?
Although, I must say that the research I've been doing is steering me towards a v7 JDM STi TMIC (that's a lot of letters! ) if I upgrade my TMIC at all...I'm reaching for stuff before the Big Tune!

On the bright side, I may have found a white JDM STi v7 scoop!

Thanks for entertaining this...

Spidey had a USDM STi TMIC with his stock set up so I'm going to say "yes, it bolts up".

umm, no it doesn't bolt up directly, I had to make a bracket for the passenger side mount, it doesn't line up perfectly.

Mac_82, look under your hood, you will see the lil bracket

dont think it will fit, as the ends that bolt to the tank are different from sti/wrx I believe

I forgot about the bracket.

The Perrin hose set we put on my car is a WRX set.

Using an STi tube set on a is impossible but the other way around just takes a bit of cutting.

I thought about the STi TMIC or even an FMIC but went with a radar detector instead so I can actually use what the pro-tune is going to give me.

EDIT: We may also want to consider a new tranny to go along with our pro-tunes.
