Talking Intrax springs

What has anyone heard on the Intrax springs? I ordered the h & R but wouldn't get them for 3 weeks. I said forget that. I know the H & R was 1"back 1 1/4" front. Anyone have any numbers on the intrax and the quality of the spring.

I have Intrax. It's 1.75" lowered. Don't buy it. It's kind of soft. Eibach is better but I don't know about H&R.

I wouldn't get the Intrax. I have never heard good things about them. But, if you want to take the chance, let us know how it goes.

I am going with the H&R's. I found a place in Washington state (was posted by someone under the suspension topic) that is 50 miles from the H&R distributor, and I should get the springs early next WEEK! Hope to have them installed before going to Atco on the 10th.

Kevin, you have me confused now, is Atco the 10th or is Englishtown? Let me know.

Chris

What if the intrax are combined with good shocks? Myabe I should just wait for coilovers.

I believe it's Englishtown on the 10th. BTW, did you consider the Eibachs from SPD( used to be listed as Prodrive Legacy Springs). I've heard great things about them matched with the KYBs. Pretty inexpensive set-up when it's all said and done. I'm going to go that route when doing suspension.

Shik,
I did consider them but saw that they only lowered the car .6 " all the way around. I think that the car has a noticeably larger front wheel gap and wnated to eliminate that. I am still unsure though, but I talked to someone from Zen Motorsports about the Tein S-Tech springs and they told me they lowered the car 1.6" front, 1.2" rear. This sounds good, I am not looking for springs based soley on looks, but I do love the slammed look.

Hey guys,
This spring/early summer i had a 99 legacy wagon that i did a lot of supsension work in and it was really nice.. I had the H&R springs (worth waiting for) and the KYB AGX's (don't recall settings), and a 18mm rear bar, Cusco rear strut tower bar. The car handled great. It was about 1" lower in the rear and 1.25" lower in the front. I was running 205-55-15 tires. Fender gap was minimal, but not slammed. You might want to also get ahold of mike at SPD, when i was shopping for springs he had a set of Prodrive legacy springs. These would also be very nice. I think it was a great set up for the money. Too bad the car had mysterious engine/tranny trouble and i had to get rid of it to get my RS.

STay away from Ntrax.. The spring material quality is very low and the springs often have different compression weights! They also tend to sag after a short while.

Hope this helps and sorry for the length.

Eric
