Default OBS Suspension Jarring

My 2002 Outback Sport is very Jarring when I hit bumps or uneven pavement.

Is that because of the "Heavy Duty" Suspension?

Is there anything that service can do to help with that?

Thanks, MOD7

Check your tire pressure. I was thinking mine wasn't handling corners as well as my 2000 OBS, then realized the tires were overinflated. So I went with the numbers on the door frame, 32 front, 29 rear, and it handles like a piece of cake now.

I'd check that first. Also with the tires overinflated, I was hearing a squeak in the front right suspension. Went away after fixing the pressure.

Question obs JARRING

Thanks I will check pressure. I was not sure if it was the 16 inch tires or the "Heavy-Duty Suspension" that was causing the jarring.

Default Tire pressure was way too high!

Thanks SubyMamma,

I went to my service man and the tires were at 40! Way too high.

At your suggestion I told him 32 in front and 29 in back.

It did help a lot, but is it still a bit jarring over breaks in the pavement. My service man thinks it will settle/soften over time.

Thanks MOD77
