Default I can post here now!

Well, not that I couldn't before, but I belong here now! Just picked up my car with the AVO turbo kit from www.rallitek.com , and I'm loving it! A friend of mine and I did the install last week, but it wasn't running right, so I had it towed to RalliTek to get looked at. Turned out to be just the coil pack went out for some reason. Anyways, they put a new pack in, and I went and got it this morning, already put about 60 miles on it, this thing is great! Anyways, just excited, and wanted t share.

It's much faster. I took a couple friends out for rides, and they where both very impressed. By the way, redline in 4th gear on a 2000 RS is almost exactly 100 MPH. I plan on making a little video of it accelerating, as some people on rs25.com made the request, I'll post it up here, too, in case there's any intrest.

Yeah, that's what I've heard about the coil. Strangely enough, my coil was toast when I tried to start it up after the install. I think the key was in the ignition, but in the off position, and the battery was disconnected, too. Oh, well, I have a new coil in now, and it's running great.

Glad to see you got it running.Been following the thread on rs25. You mentioned it was a pain to get all the stuff on, and that you wouldn't want to have to take it off again. Any painful highlights on why? I've mostly ignored the turbo'd RS route because we have to pass smog here in California, and I'd prob have to put it back to stock every 2 years. Also, you get CEL's of any kind with your setup?

The install wasn't hard, just some stuff was tricky. Mostly the intercooler, because the charge tube has to run through some very tight spots, and getting it through and lined up and the tube ends attached and tightened down was just a PITA. The reason I don't want to take it off again is because I just don't want to deal with that stuff again, but it can be done if it needs to be. I just hope it doesnt need to be for a while! We went from stock setup to having the turbo in in a day and a half, although we probably could have done the whole thing in a singel day if we had started a little earlier, taken a shorter lunch break, and had the wiring insructions. And so far, no CELs, and I have a little over 100 miles on the setup so far. And I understand the problem you have in California, for you, I'd look into a USDM swap just for passing inspection and CARB stuff.
