Default Quick Question- Is the Tranny mount the same as the WRX?

I have a 99 Legacy GT and I believe my Tranny mounts is bad, I just got out from under the car, there's a guy on eBay selling a tranny mount from a WRX, are they the same part ?

Thanks !

BTW: you can pick up GroupN tranny mounts at Subarugenuineparts.com for a real good price, and they're much improved over stock

Thanks Guys!
I purchased a stock one on eBay for 99 cents, of course the shipping is more expensive but I just need to quickly fix this problem.

on another note:
wow!
this site has grown big time!
as you can see I joined back in 99 when Imprezzident formed it, it has a lot of members!
I am going to start hanging out here more often, been involved in building Cobras for a while, my website tells the story:
http:www.cobra4me.com

Thanks again guys.

There's people who join and in a month or two are Scoobie specialists.

OT Posts shouldn't count, in my opinion.

I just swapped out the tranny mount for the one I bought off eBay and the vibrating noise I had before is gone, so it was the tranny mount that was broken.

Thanks all for your help

Same here. It's funny - I'm considered "the old guy" for having a less than 10k member number.

You could have a higher post count if you do like me and say something stupid or sarcastic in every thread!

By the way, If you get some extra money, that group n mount ( i think it is the sti mount) makes a big difference in how the car feels. It is a great upgrade over stock trans mount...

I swapped out my stock 5-mt mount for a USDM 2004 Sti 6-speed....very nice upgrade, and I picked it up for $35 shipped from the classifides here. Besides improved shifting feel, it does also give you more audible feedback as the RPM's climb, but nothing major IMHO.

For a N/A Subaru, it makes quite the difference, and it doesn't break the bank. The stock tranny mount feels like warm butter in comparison.
