Hi
I am new to the forum have had my Subaru for two years now and love it. I was wondering if anyone had tried to debadge the limited sign from a Legacy GT. I had attempted to take off the rear lettering, but got into a problem where there were holes to hold the badge on and not just glue. Does anyone know if this is the case for the Limited badge as well

let me be the first to welcome you to the forum. unfortunately for me, i don't have a limited and can't answer you question about the debadging. but, be proud of your "limited" status. if i had one, i would let everyone know it...imo.

welcome to the board Subarugt. The limited badge located on the front doors is held on with adhesive tape only. There will be no holes if you remove these badges. WHat year is your legacy? I am thinking about removing my Limited badges and replacing them with the silver 2000+ Limited badges. I would be willing to buy your old badges if your ride is a 2000+. Good luck!

NO PROBLEMO >>>LET ME ANSWER YOUR SIMPLETON QUESTION!!!
You are refering to the rear "LIMITED" badge located to the left of the trunk. If you have already removed it there should be two nice holes...Here is what I did: Remove "LIMITED" badge Remove plastic washer that is still attached to your trunk lid Wash and clean the surface area of the trunk where the badge was... And stick on a STi Badge like I did!!! FITS PERFECTLY!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() DONE!!! Down $28 ... too bad!!! CRAZY KEN |

Krazy Ken - where did you order that ST badge?
Looks nice. My whole car is debadged except for the "Legacy" badge on the trunk. I knew it would leave a hole so I left it........but now I can just slap on an STi badge ![]() |

Hey, welcome!!!
I don't have a digital camera right now, mine dropped during the Seattle Earthquake, and broke. This is of course, IF you have the parts on your car. I put these on mine. |

Crazy Ken, I wish to debadge my new Legacy but have nothing to place over the holes. I don't have any Sti parts but do have an Apex N1, but would prefer something even more stealth. Any ideas? I'm heading to SEMA so can hopefully find something there.

I've got two titanium Sti emblems just behind the front wheel wells of my car and I had the carbon fiber one for the back on order with my STi muffler. But TRi fubared by order and I had to cancel it. I'll probably still do my plan eventually, though, which was to take of the 2.5GT emblem and put the STi CF one where it used to be.

I've removed the AWD from mined, but "hit the holes" on the Legacy. Does the GT have holes on the 2K+? If not I'd like to move it up to the Legacy spot and paint it like the GT bicycles logo. (Yes, I know they went chapter 11, but damm I love their bikes)

Crazy Ken - Yes!!! Make sure you have something from STi or APEXi. I have the APEXi Megaphone Dunk Series Cat back exhaust. I actually have another with the APEXi sign that looks almost identical to Legacy badge. Silver lettering, black plastic.
and a APEXi sticker on the back window. So, if you see a Legacy with one, honk. There was a time when I was at Costco, and a bunch of Integra punks came by and asked me if mine was the APEXi series Legacy? What?! is there such a thing? I just told him, "uuhh, sure, yeah, it is." waaa haaa haa. ![]() |

The only thing I will get from APEX'i is the S-AFC! STi suspension pieces are not visible, because they are underneath!

After my emblem removal I covered the Legacy holes with the GT badge. Just retape the back of your old one. jim
