Question piaa superwhites

I have a question, will Piaa superwhites (H4 headlamp and H3 fog) melt my plastic headlights? Do the imprezas have glass headlights, or are they plastic like ours?

I have a 97 GT. I went on some auto site and they had a cross reference to subarus, it said I needed H3 and H4 bulbs.

Question

Anyone know what the #s of the Bulbs on the MY00 Legacys are? I know they went to the 4 headlight system. Also do the DTRL use the signal markers or the actual headlights? Do the DTRLs turn off if you drive with your parking lights on? Thanks.

Just check your owner's manual. It's always the most accurate reference.

Yes, your owners manual like Jason said is probably the best source. Don't be stupid like me. unfortunately I don't own a Subaru, but I did this ultimately dumb thing when I bought my PIAA Superwhites. I bought them in Japan and I didn't know Japanese Preludes (92-96 in US) had different light system then US ones. So I bought ones that fits the Japanese ones, but I was lucky because my friend knows people who work at places that sells PIAAs so I just traded the H4s that I bought for 9006s. (I'm glad the PIAA corners I bought worked)

i'm not buying em for the MY00, (I don't have the car yet) but was curious about the DTRL's from people who have already gotten their MY00 Legacys. I'd never buy a bulb for a car until I check the manual about 3 times

Well, when I went to Japan I wasn't sure if I was going to buy bulbs, so I went without checking my manuel. In Japan I checked a PIAA booklet where it tells you which types of their bulbs will fit on the certain car. I guess I don't plan ahead very well.

MY00 are H1 low beams, 9005 high beams, and 9006 fogs. not sure about LEGACY fogs, but OUTBACKS like mine are 9006.
