Default TurboXS downpipe + UR up-pipe/Tial 38mm EWG (will it fit)

Does anyone know if the Ultimate Racing up-pipe with a Tial 38mm EWG will have any problems fitting when using the TurboXS downpipe?

On a 2005 STi, btw

Based on my experience with the 44mm TiAL UR uppipe...I would probably say that the 38mm TiAL version is no different in terms of fitment with the TXS DP. Even with the smaller Helix catless bellmouth DP, the 44mm TiAL was still pretty snug(but never had contact).

Here is my thread for reference.

Well here's my problem...

I have the TurboXS DP, race-pipe, midpipe, and a Stromung axleback.
Obviously I won't need a bellmouth DP anymore, so I would have no problem getting rid of the TXS DP, but it'll throw off my whole exhaust system

AFAIK, no regular sized downpipe is going to mate up to the TXS midpipe, right?

I'm really at a loss for what to do now.
I do know someone who can cut/weld for me, but I want to try to avoid that if possible.

Any suggestions besides selling the whole exhaust set-up?
I really don't want to do that and I just got the Stromung axleback about a month ago and there is no way I want to have to get rid of it.

I think one word will sum up my set-up and that would be "custom" haha

Not what I had in mind, but in the end I think it'll all work out... I hope

I made the u/r uppipe with the tial 38mm fit with a turboxs downpipe.....it took a decent amount of "customizing" with a big hammer, but it eventually worked.

Which part of it do you have to dent and aren't you worried that it may disrupt exhaust flow?

Denting a bellmouth DP to fit an EWG isn't really that big of a deal, since the EWG dumps the gas that would have needed the bellmouth in an IWG setup.

Wouldn't it depend on where you have to dent it though?

Its along the right side of the downpipe....I'll see if I can crawl under to snap some pics. It really isnt enough to restrict flow as the downpipe is already 4 inches and when the ewg opens it bypasses alot of gas.
