Default Canadian Auto-cross event

we had our second auto-x event of the year today, was an absolute blast. got to see alot of nice cars (including an STi swap GC impreza).

im still awaiting the results to be posted on the site, my best time was a 1:18.34. the other skyline (despite being auto, and NA) managed a 1:21.

im pretty sure i did terrible, i just hope im in the upper half of the street-tire guys (im running on some broke-ass undersized $65 all-seasons).

heres a short vid of me doing a slalom and a hairpin

one of 1000's of legal canadian GTRs, and a fake GTR (im mean)

ZOMG a Ford GT!!!11

one of the better cars of the day, a 20v 4AG powered corolla (did 1:09)

funny story.

when mitsu first launched the EVO in canada, transport-canada let it through. mitsu-canada sold 5 of them before transport canada realized that they didnt meet crash specs.

2 of them were shipped to Vickar Mitsubishi here in winnipeg. they were still building their dealership at that time. just as they were rolling off the truck, this guy saw it as he was driving by. he ran into the dealer and said "I WANT THAT CAR". so he paid for it then and there.

Vickar hates the EVOs, its too time-consuming for them to service his car. he says the service counter guys cringe whenever he walks in. but he lives in Ontario, so they dont see him much.

so far hes been offered over $85,000 for the car. hes waiting until someone offers 100k.
