Just an experiment mostly. We were thinking of tryin to do to top part in black suede but decided with the texture of the camo matterial it was better the way it was.

Quick Q' for anyone that's done this on a GF8, I got a 95' Impreza wagon that I just threw 00' OBS seats in, I got the beige interior so I want to at least change the door cards fabric from beige to something else to match the seats. Pretty much the same process for an old model?

Check this link out. Saw someone from a previous page wanted the "rising sun" fabric and I found this. Kinda like the dragons myself.

I did mine, black flannel. Very soft and cushy. There's a write-up on RS25 that applies more to our cars - you can't remove the fabric on our door cars, you just have to tuck the fabric around it.

EDIT: oh, people already posted it.
oops.

Has anyone ever changed their color of their door card color other than the fabric?

My cards are tan and I want to paint them dark gray or something.
Can I use plasti dip?

I used the spray fabric die stuff before. It works "ok" at best. If you rub the area a few times it eventually rubs off.

bump. did my 07 TR in suede but i find they are a pain to clean. now ive decided on leather. has anyone used faux leather/vinyl on theirs? if u have, what type of adhesive should be used. vinyl is a bit heavier so im thinking something more heavy duty is required to hold.

Purdy good, I did this last weekend.

It seems there was one little spot that didn't get enough glue and during the cold I see a saggy bubble!

However, I push it back it and it sticks. Might have to reglue it.

3M fabric glue is messy I tell you. If it gets on your cards, only goo gone can get it off. Then it gets your cards all oily, and sticky.

I used sobo fabric glue works good, except it was hard to get into the crevice at the top.

What kind of fabric did you use, where from, and how much did it cost?

I got the fabric from jo-ann fabrics, it is suede. If I remember right it was about $35 a yard and I got it on sale for half off. Here is a video of how to change the fabric http://subaru-offroad.blogspot.com/2...t-diy-kit.html
