Default Checking interest : twin scroll, TMIC, pinks, etc

Ok, I've been drooling over a rotated GT-30 type kit for a while. My costing of that project depends in part on the sale of some existing items. In the past, I've sold a VF-37 setup for about (exactly actually) US $1,700 (including header, up-pipe, downpipe, turbo) and the dollar was actually worth something then. But I don't really want to ship a 90 lbs box to the US if I can avoid it.

So this is what I have that would be for sale:

(All from a ver 8 JDM spec-C type RA)
- VF-36 turbo (titanium goodness)
- equal length header with bung for EGT (professionally TIG welded)
- twin scroll type up-pipe
- TurboXS downpipe with TIG welded twin scroll flange
- possibly the remainder of the TXS exhaust
- STi pink injectors
- JDM STi TMIC

My conviction is that with a professional tune, this hardware would make for a bitching RallyX or Rally setup; especially on a 2.5 l WRX. With my current self-street-tune, the driveability is really good. Once in the turbos threshold range throttle response is amazing. That's something that doesn't show on a dyno plot, but should be considered by anyone looking for balance.

Of course, this whole exercise could fizzle if I don't get the cash I need for the hardware I want.

If you're interested in the whole (or most of) kit, shoot me a PM offer. If all you want is the TMIC, save some electrons and wait till everything else is commited.

I reserve the right to abondon the whole thing, so please ask yourself if you're the type to cry when you don't get what you want for Christmas; if so, bugger off. (With my heartfelt sympaties of course )

Steve

With respect, your pricing was too steep for my tastes.

Well,

TXS downpipe used but customized for Twin Scroll about $400 (aftermarket Twin scroll JDM downpipes are close to $1,000 US)

Twinscroll equal length header - ?? Well, there is no aftermarket comparison, but lets say $300

Twinscroll up-pipe - again how to compare but say $150

VF-36 - $700 minimum, new I've seen listed for $1,600

It adds up. But of course you could counter offer.

After being at Rocky this weekend I decided I'm not dumping any more money into power mods. The car as it is right now will be good for P4 class so I'm gonna do the pro-tune and then focus on picking up rally parts here and there. JC
