Default AccessPort on its way...any tips?

Order it from Rallypartz.com in Edmonton. Any tips/pointers for a stock '06 wagon?

The AP, along with the SPT pink springs and swaybar, is eating into the money I saved getting the car from the US pretty fast

If I decide to go with a downpipe later, what (economic) options are there for the rest of the exhaust? $1500 is pretty steep for DP and exhaust...

There's nothing scarier than having everything go dead at the 70% complete part of an ECU reflash.

o.k. maybe seeing your mom naked is scarier.

Tip: Since you're getting an AP, sign up for the July pro-tune immediately.

Oh, and get a radar detector.

Just get the downpipe and use your stock cat back. It won't affect your numbers by much. Plus you will be stealth. The catback at most only gives you 5-10hp, it is mostly just to unleash that sweet boxer rumble.

When you are doing your reflash make sure all of your electrical stuff is off (ie, interior light, radio) and roll the windows down in your car and close the doors and start the reflash from through the window. Dont open the doors at anytime during the reflash. Any electrical surge may cause a problem so better safe then sorry.

Yes he is as the AP gets its power from the car when you plug it into the port under the steering wheel.

That makes sense. I guess the restrictive portion is in the Cat converter(s) anyways. Loud exhaust is not my cup-o-tea

OMG you guys make me all nervous after i did my reflash this weekend i didnt take half the precaustions. I drove from my parts guy to home (figured i would have good charge on the battery) started the reflash, the frigin seatbelt bell was pissing me off so i went in the the house and let it sit for a few minutes while it did its thing. (Opened the door) came back out (opened the door agian) sat in the car seatbelt thing was still beeping so i put on my seatbelt adn shut it up (connect another electrical circut) man i guess im lucky to have made it out alive

wow i didnt think you had to be that serious as long as you dont try to start the car or anythign and you go for a drive before hand you should be okay

Kris, the only thing I've witnessed screwing up an accessport relflash is a turbo timer. I believe that happened becuase in the instructions it tells you to switch the ignition off and on (or something like that) and the TT stops that from happening.
