Default Anyone have the equal length headers from GTBGUY yet?

Just want to know what's up...reviews and stuff...I'm still very interested in picking a set up for my car.

Check out the Toronto Subaru Club page where JoeT has been
posting updates (although I don't seem to be able to get it this
AM). IIRC, the latest update is that they will start collecting the
money next week and delivery in another week or two after that.
There has been a slight fine tuning of the design and they are
going to add ceramic coating inside and out (no extra charge).

I think that they were also going to post G-tech number soon
as well.

from what i hear these headers give pretty decent power gain. but downside is they will only work for NA application. will not work with turbo cars.

I just checked at the TSC board and JoeT has posted the
performance numbers and they look pretty good to me.

Check it out in the general forum @

Default Must need money....

to burn! Man, those numbers sound incredible! High 14 second 1/4 mile (G-tech though). That's awesome! I'll have to keep this in the back of my mind.

Penphoe - You have to remember to take the relative difference. The G-tech might not be 100% accurate on one trial, but doing 9 trials and averaging them makes them fairly accurate to compare relative differences.

On the test car, the only mods to anotherwise "stock" car were a K&N panel filter, a lightweight pulley and some DIY tubing into the fender.

The baseline was 115hp @ the wheels. (based on an average of 9 runs)

After the Brullen header + cat-back, was 136hp@ the wheels (again based on an average of 9 runs).

The relative difference was 21hp @ the wheels.

Based on 165hp @ the flywheel that's an approximate 30% power loss due to drivetrain. This means that with the addition of the header + cat-back, the hp @ the flywheel is ~195hp.

Thumbs up true...

averaging the data over 9 runs does eliminate alot of the "erorrs" that can occur. There are still variables that can affect the performance of the vehicle that cannot be factored out but minimized as much as possible (i.e. humidity, air temperature, road conditions, location). Anywayz, I'm not here to debate the validity of the numbers you guyz collected. Those are AWESOME numbers!

As for the design of the headers, any pics yet or can you describe them? Is it similar to the MRT Header design? This system comes with a cat correct?

Is that setup going to work with anything other than the brullen cat back? I'm very very interested, but the last thing I want after spending that much money is to find out my stromung midpipe isn't going to bolt right up.

It will work with whatever setup you have provided that your cat-back flange is at the stock location.

All header systems will come with 2 adapters. 1 adapter is for the 2.25" exhaust systems, and the other is for the stock. The adapter goes between the cat and the stock location cat back exhaust flange.

Worst case scenario, you may have to go to a muffler shop to custom make an adapter that's about 12" long that reduces to the size of your cat back exhaust.

Hope this helps.

Well, my stromung is 2.25" stainless and bolts right up to the stock cat, so that shouldn't be a problem at all.
