Default sti hid to wrx harness help?

hey guys, i tried searching and stickys and couldnt find any info on this. ive read in certain areas that either a harness has to be purchased or made to get this to work. it is an 05 sti bulb and ballast to an 05 wrx. can someone point me to the right direction on how to wire this correctly? wouldnt wanna blow one of these out =/

So you only have the bulbs and ballasts and not the complete light assemblies? You can't just stick the bulbs into your factory halogen lights.

i havnt got them yet, was planning on getting it, if i can figure out how to get them working. they wont fit into the wrx? i dont have the light housings if thats what your asking

Then don't get them. If you want the STi HIDs you have to buy the complete lights, which then bolt directly in place of your existing lights. You would have to do some wiring to get them working but it's well documented on this site and elsewhere.
The HID bulbs are D2R, your halogen bulbs are H1, they are not compatible physically and the D2R bulbs will not go in the H1 mounts. The reflector design in the light housing is also different for the HIDs, even though they look very similar, so even if you somehow were able to install the bulbs the beam pattern would be terrible.

Actually the reflector housings are pretty much the same. However, the bulb shield in the middle is different. The STi ones have raised sections on both sides to prevent glare.

If you compare the reflectors side-by-side very carefully, they are indeed different. Not dramatically, but enough to make the beam pattern suitable for the respective bulb types used with each one.
