Default They get all of the good cars on the other side of the pond

If I Paypal 11,000 plus the cost to ship this to the states, can someone in the UK go pick this UK300 up for me:

And here are a few other really nice Subies for sale used over there:

Watch out for scams with overseas sales. Also, there is more than just "shipping it over." You might be surprised to see all the work you have to go through to legally get a Euro car into the U.S.

If you are paying to have it shipped, then why do you need someone to pick it up for you? j/k

New Zealand also has lotss of nice and rare STI's for sale used if you are bored and looking for subies to drool over.

http://www.autotrader.co.nz/

Are importing costs the same from country to country?

I just want to swap one of those guys for EDM/JDM bugeye headlights and call it a day.

I really want the UK300. I've wanted once for years, and I just happened be looking at the Auto Express Weekly site and they now had a used car search added to the site. SO for *******$ and giggle, I did a subie search when low and behold... a UK300 for 11,000. Just the luck of the draw I guess.

So I immediately thought of selling my WRX and buying a ticket to the UK to go get it. It would be a tough sell for my wife though.

It would be a much harder sale to your local DMV and the feds. Is $20k for a five year old non STI Impreza a good deal?

You can roll your own UK300 for that much. Bumper, front lip, wing, P1's, tires, stage 2 upgrades... pouf.

Yeah, it's better than an STI.

But it's still not a UK300.

I forgot the headlights, interior, special plaque, painted sideskirts... but after that, what exactly are you missing?

i saw a picture of that exact car on the OT funnay picture thread. I believe it said "never let a woman borrow your car." so beware, it may be an accident vehicle

It's basically an EDM STI whith a stage 3 prodrive kit (Prodrive Turboback exhaust/Pulley/Silicone hoses/ECU), Prodrive lights, 17" Gold Prodrive P1 wheels, and limited edition badging.

What it is, is rather academic. You can't import it. It's not on the list of approved vehicles.

I could never by a car that I didn't at least test drive first. I think you're better off making a UK300 clone and keeping the left hand drive

Buying a car you've never tested is sort of like marrying a mail-order-bride, don't ya think?
