the Mach V wheels are 17x9 +42. the springs drop about 1-1.5" in the front and about 3/4-1" in the rear. not slammed, but lower enough that it closes up some of that massive gap. the TXS exhaust hangs low due to how it bends, and certain speed bumps will cause me to scrape unless i go slow. any lower and the exhaust would need to be modified.

truth! ordered some Tokico D-Specs to replace my stock struts (and better pair up with the Mach V springs), spacers for the MY06-07s, and the rear adjustment extenders so i wont have to take out my rear seats any time i want an adjustment (though hopefully that's not too often). also decided to pick up some Subaru Group-N top hats for the front struts. rears will stay stock.

now to just find time to install them!

also recently purchased and installed TiC's brake master cylinder brace. definitely firmed up the brake feel on hard braking.

How much was the brake master cylinder brace? Hard to install?

I was looking at the D-Specs but for $900.... I'm looking at a set of coilovers. Maybe Feal.

just under $100 for the brace.
it actually wasn't too hard to install. took me about an hour. all you gotta do on the 06-07s is remove the stock air pump, unbolt a brake hard line, wedge the brace in there, bolt it on (tricky part is getting socket wrenches to the 2 rear bolts of the brace) and re-install the air pump. installing it deletes a metal bracket that previously was used to support a wire harness, but there's a spot on the brace to zip-tie the wire harness back down.

as for everyone saying get '04-'05 tail lights. sorry, but the '06 tails have grown on me. i like them

I meant TiC is pissed that Amazon can sell them so low and it takes away from them selling them to customers.

The wife should have received an email from me with the Amazon link to the cheap pricing. I also sent her the link from TiC so she would see the price difference...

i forgot to take befores, but suffice to say, the front of the hood (the first 3-4") were speckled white with road rash. this is after appling Dr. ColorChip with a clean rag along the whole 3-4" front of the hood (used around 1/2 the bottle of paint from the 1oz bottle of paint):

hopefully this coming weekend ill get a chance to wash the car, and take some before and afters of the bumper and a few nicks on the passenger door that need to be corrected.

also, i have more parts to go on sometime this summer and then get retuned. goal is to get a little bit faster spool and smooth out the powerband a bit. so stay tuned (ha pun!) for the addition of:
TurboXS up pipe
MAV TGV Deletes
air pump delete
FukuWorks silicone inlet.

finally got around this spring to installing the parts that have been sitting in my garage for about a year: tgv deletes, inlet, up pipe, air pump delete. finally retuned and car's running great.

new numbers fresh off the TurboXS dyno are:
387.7wtq
358.1whp

dyno graph also updated in my 1st post as well as the mods list.

i love seeing builds like this. especially because i have an 06 and im kind of doing the same thing. not too over the top and a clean, quick ride. how many miles are on the car?

Thanks. that's exactly what my goal has been all along. make as much power as i can while still being a reliable DD.

believe it or not, there's only 47k mi on it. a lot of that is due to using my Forester a lot when carting the family around.

after the fun time i had with the last set of installs, the next set of mods should be a bit more conservative. Oil catch can, silicone radiator and ancillary hoses. and then saving up for trans upgrade once my 5 speed inevitably breaks. Andrewtech at this point is just waiting for my call with the 387wtq going through it.

haha thanks!

I found my older dyno plots from when i went stage 2 (in 2010). it was a few years after buying the car in '06 before i finally got into power mods. schooling, job, money at the time held me back. But good things come to those who wait and persevere, right?

I've added all the dyno plots in the 1st post. it gives a nice chronology of the power the car's made over the years as the mods have piled on.
