Post Spark Plug Gap???

I am just got a set of new spark plugs for my 92 Legacy turbo. Whats the right gap of the plugs to the turbo engine??? Just read a post on the other forums said that the right gap should be around 0.7mm, but from the owne manual is 1.0mm-1.1mm, which is the right one???? What happen if I gap on 0.7mm?
BTW, I got the BKR7EVX-11 to one step cooler plug!!!
