Default Transferring colleges to Fredonia, NY; G/F tells me we'll be 20 minutes from Canada!

So hey! I have also been told I need a passport to go over the border now, so I guess I'll have to do that. Anyways, my WRX is about to get an 18G and see power upwards of 325whp on a heartbreaker dyno, so about 360+whp on normal dynos.

I figure I'll need or want a new tranny soon, but am wondering what you guys have up there for trannies. Is the WRX the same as the USDM, STi also? I'd like to pick up a tranny eventually if I can find one stronger than the USDM WRX 5mt. Anybody have ideas on what I should be looking for?

Thanks,
Chris

Either a "built" 5 spd or a stock 6 spd.

You do not need a passport to get into Canada, however, the US government may require you to have a passport to return to the US within the next few years.

We'd pretty much be going for a day or a weekend, no prolonged stays. Think I'd still need a Passport? They're like $110 bucks

As of right now, no. But in a year or two maybe. Depends how quickly they implement it.

The stock Impreza's up here are the same as the stock Impreza's in the US, but there are a couple of great tuning shops. Fourstar Motorsports in Georgetown, Planet Motorsports in Guelph and Lachute Subaru in Montreal, for example. All are serious shops that build competitive rally cars (not just show cars), so you know they know what they are doing.

You don't need a passport to travel between Canada and US. Not untill June of 2009. You can check with Customs (1-800-461-9999). Not sure but that number might only work from Canada....
