Default Headers and midpipe for 2.5 RS - best offer / trade

MRT equal-length headers and resonated midpipe for 2.5RS



Designed for a phase II motor in a GC8 chassis, i.e. 1999-2001 Impreza and OBS. Should also fit 1998 2.5RS. May also fit other models, maybe requring a custom bracket for the central support - the most critical thing is that your Impreza (or I suppose, maybe even Forester) must have the dual exhaust ports. Pre-1999 2.2 liter motors will not work because they have single exhaust ports. The headers should fit most Legacies of the era, but the bends in the midpipe would not be right for a Legacy.

On a '99-'01 Impreza the rearmost exhaust flange will be in the same place as stock, so any standard muffler will bolt up.

Some disclosure about this system:
  • This is not street-legal in any emissions-controlled area.
  • The cat is toast. Any Impreza with this exhaust will almost certainly throw a CE. On my RS, it did not affect driveability, it was just irritating.

Despite the busted cat, this system still represents a substantial amount of the welding already done for a really slick custom system.
