Legacy Exhaust system

I drive a 95 Legacy AWD sdn, AT, I wanted to get an exhaust system! I don't know if just a muffler would make a difference! SPO Motorsports offers BORLA, but Scott there says there that it won't fit a sdn, just a wagn

I was looking at Stromung, but not really sure if its worth it! Any suggestions?

I have a Stromung, and love it. The deep, throaty sound of the boxer must be heard to be enjoyed. Do a search, and you'll find testimonials, both aural and butt-dyno.

I don't know of much else for the Legacy, but you're in luck, in that Stromung is considered to be the best by many.

p.s. I see that you live in Oregon. Go stainless. You'll probably have to get a custom fabrication from a Stromung dealer, and it ain't cheap, but I'd worry about rust with the mild steel. Mine is stainless.

Thanx Gtguy, I'm looking at Stromung and it does seem pretty good, and I'll see if I can get some more choices. JC Sports has the Cat-back stainless, and it comes with a mid pipe too! I'll have to look around! How much for your Stromung (if its ow a secret

)!

Naaaah, it's not a secret. Chris at TRi was parting out his Legacy, and I got the stainless system for $300. I don't even want to think about what it would have cost new.

i had mine custom done...it's not that hard..

find a muffler shop.. tell them what you want...
i had 2.5" piping from the cat back to my huuuuge aftermarket non-name honduh exhaust... which was loud as hell and performed just fine...

you can put any exhaust you want on there...
it doesnt have to be a Scoobysport or Stromong just because those are made for Subies.. you can use anything you think will look and sound good...

The only problem with a custom job from a local shop is that you will be hard pressed to find a shop that can mandrel bend the midpipe. A non-mandrel bend can restrict your pipe by a third, or more, depending on the angle of the bend.

Finding a mandrel bent aftermarket solution, or a local shop that can mandrel bend, is your best option. There's a shop in Bend that I've heard good things about: http://www.4customexhaust.com/

the exhaust shop i went to didnt have a problem with mandrel bends...

you have to go to a REAL shop... not a MIDAS...
