No personal experience...but I have seen a thread on here where someone removed their cluster to paint the rings....it looked pretty straight forward. Did you try a search? I will try to find it as well, I like those rings!

didn't find anything on search, even after fixing my spelling of aluminum =p

those rings do a LOT to "de-cheapify" the look of the stock 2.5i gauges IMHO

I've done it, it's a piece of cake. I think I found a thread on changing the light color for the cluster that showed how to get in there and I just followed the first few steps to get to where I needed to. I think there's 5 screws total. 2 that you can see under the overhang, then three that hold the cluster in. Then the plastic piece that covers the gauges has some plastic tab type clips that you pop out and then just take the old pieces out. Put the new pieces in and put everything back together. I've never done anything like this and I don't think it took me anymore than 5 or 6 minutes to do. It's really as straightforward as it can be. And it looks FANTASTIC!! I've had it in for a couple months now and I still smile everytime I see them!

awesome news, thanks!

I just got them in the mail yesterday, now I'm just waiting for the car to put them into lol(car should arrive in about 3 weeks ) . I'll put up a HOWTO with pictures for it when I do.

Incidentally, what kind of Civic did you come from?

edit: was it this link you were referring to?

Yep, that's the one I went from. Total piece of cake.
I've had two Civics; 95 EX and 99 EX, both black 2 doors. Loved them both, but they can't even compare to the 2.5i!
